Buying a TL in So Cal in December

how much is the TL going for So Cal?

I'm looking for an AM/Quartz, 5 AT with navi

Any dealers to recommend? Dealers still arent moving much from their price.

Got mine at Downey, early december for $33,795. Most so cal Internet dealers should be offering around $34k. Look outside of Orange County, they don't seem to offer much down there.

Be careful at Keyes Acura.

//insert story here

I'm not sure I trust them. I emailed them an offer of 33,100 for a 5ATNav. They left me a VM saying "we can beat this" (maybe they thought is was a quote?). When I called back, they said that they would pass on the offer and that "these cars are just too hot right now." I raised my offer to 33,300 (including destination, but no protection package). He said he needed to check with his boss first, and then accepted my offer and told me to come on down to get the paperwork all taken care of. I called the guy back with the intention of getting him to accept in writing because I didn't want to drive 70 miles only to get screwed. Since my sales guy wasn't available, I talked to his manager who had no idea what I was talking about. I thought he had just approved the transaction??? He said he needed to talk to the sales guy and that he'd call me back. Well, no call-back so I left my salesman a VM explaining my frustration. He called me back the next day and told me that the car I wanted had sold the previous night. He then said he'd let me know when another one would be scheduled for delivery.

//end story

No real point to this story other than BE CAREFUL.

well, you have to admit that both $33,100 and $33,300 are unheard of prices out here in so cal :P I'm suprised they would even claim to beat it, it's like they have some sort of auto response :P

I got the car priced out for $33,500 w/ navi, 5AT. If you like the price let me know. I'm getting the car around mid. Jan. 05. Maybe He'll give us another price drop when you buy it. =)

I think this is the out the door price. All fees included.

It can't be out the door, since that's waaaay too low to have neraly 3k in taxes included

Deals can definitely be had if you're persistent and willing to drive. I bought by AM/Ebony/5AT/Navi from Acura of the Desert in Cathedral City Nov 16 for $33,400+TTL or $36,100 OTD, including a trunk tray.

The probelm with Orange County is only 3 dealers. Acura needs to get a few more dealers here, especially with the amt of $$ and the demographics of the county.

I paid $33,650 last week in Calabassas for my AM/Quartz/5AT/Navi. I think anything between $33,500 and $34,000 looks to be a "good deal". Anything less than $33,500 for similar car is a "great deal". Wish we could get $500 over invoice but they choke if you ask them that and tell you that no dealer can sell them that price.

I think i am waiting till after christmas. I hope to get some price drop with everyone being low on cash.

33650 sounds pretty good. calabassas is near SD right? do they have a lot of selection? that's the color combo i was searching. did u get any protection package with that?

Does anyone know the invoice price for the protection package options -- mud flaps, trunk tray, wheel locks, floor mats?

Thanks for everyone's input.

For the price I quoted I did not get any options... No pro package... Although now I'm thinking I want it... Not sure but I might get the mud guards to prevent dirt and possible scratches to the paint. Having a hard time deciding...

And Calabassas is near LA...

the guy told me he can beat any offer...i went there with my offer for a 05 non-navi and i got mine for basically 1770 under MSRP.

32900 + 570 = 33470 = MSRP (without wheel lock and mudguards)

I got mine for 31130 + 570 = 31700 (with mud guards and wheel lock.)

33470-31700 = 1770

but then again..I got screwed by financing guy with 6.89% APR.

Sorry to hear the high rate... We got 4.24% for 5 years. Great rate right now!!! Of course my credit score was probably way higher than yours...

But sounds like you got a great deal... Add on to your monthly payments perhaps...

my credit score was quite high...it was in the excellent category...i even put a total of 9500 down including my trade in. i think after they decided to give me the price...they went back to their calculators and decided that 6.89 would be a good number to make their losses back.
