I think I read somewhere on this forum that a dealership corrected the butt-prints as a factory defect.......if anyone out there had their seats fixed from their dealership would you please either respond to this with their name and address or email with the information............thanks !!!

Search!

There are more threads on this subject than can be imagined...

User the search function to find them, type in "butt prints" and you'll fill the screen with returns.

maybe we should start treating new 'butt-print' threads as we do to the threads that contain people trying to sell their product......

Hi, Mike, you may find a few threads in the 1st and 2nd pages having the newest and updated info about butt-print seat/cover-like issues. Or, the SEARCH would be the great helps to you, too. If you could find them and post your question over there, or PM those members, this could be the most direct way to get your answers.

Good luck.

Moderators:

Can we create a separate Forum for the Anally Inclined? The Behind in Mind? The Fluffed in the Duff? The Fun in the Buns?

Call it
"Rear Quarters"
or
"Slack in the Crack"
or
"Turn the Other Butt Cheek" or

"The Poop Deck"....anything.

A root canal is preferable to launching the 3G Forum and finding yet another BP post. And for the civil liberatarians out there...yes, we all know, this is a free country....but, when we have to go 3 pages down to find something of moderate interest, it screams:

This site needs a Tech Forum badly.

By comparison, the S2kI Tech Forum has several posts on Page 1 today:
1) A technical description by a Honda Repair Tech about how gear skipping a 4th gear redline shift into 6th in the S2000's transmission can cause damage to it and
2) A citing of a SAE article published in japan by the tranny's designerexplaining why that is, and how it is part and parcel of why the tranny has world-class precision and feel.

By comparison, the S2kI Tech Forum has several posts on Page 1 today:
1) A technical description by a Honda Repair Tech about how short-shifting the S2000's transmission can cause damage to it and
2) A citing of a SAE article published in japan by the tranny's designerexplaining why that is, and how it is part and parcel of why the tranny has world-class precision and feel.
We try to make the damnedest to categorize effectively our threads into sub-forums, as well as to minimize the long-winded lists of sub-forums in our sites. We may create the DIY/Tech forum/sub-forum in the near future to redirect some of our traffic out there. We'd carefully consider your suggestion. Thanks.

To Road Rage, whose plight I perfectly understand and wish it were that easily rectumfied (pun intended):

My question is: How would we accomplish your objective?

If we had a tech forum, how would we keep out the "Anally Inclined? The Behind in Mind? The Fluffed in the Duff? The Fun in the Buns? "

Would there be a test they had to pass before being granted access to the Tech Forum?

Would we code their profiles so they could only access the "Don't go here unless you want to be mentally assaulted" forum until they had proved their qualifications?

If they wandered into the Tech Forum inadvertently, would we warn them once and then ban them for life, as we do the spammers and sellers of merchandise who post their ads in the wrong forum?

There will always be the "subject of the day" that will get beaten to death. We as moderators should put all these in a "Read if you Dare" thread, but then think of the criticism we would invoke from the faint of intellect.

Good luck in your quest for freedom from reading the same thing every day, in almost the same words, on subjects that would be answered if only the posters would read a few days back in the forum and/or access the search feature and/or the 3G Garage and/or the Owner's Manual.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all who read and search and look, and also to all those who don't.

If you haven’t already done so, please post your greetings in The Official Merry Christmas/Happy New Year Thread
