Busted or Lucky S.O.B.

Well Guys I think I’m screwed here. I’ve had my windows tinted at 5% for 9 months now no problems. I’ve pulled up beside cops and passed cops with them (With fingers crossed every time ) now the cops in my city are having a big crack down on front windows being tinted for 2 weeks Link to Warning

So what do you guys think Busted or Lucky S.O.B. I’ll let you know if and when I get the ticket, and also the number of guys they nail over the next 2 weeks.

Yea i heard this on the radio and on the news. I think its a waist of time.. They said theyre gonna have checkstops and issue tickets to those who have tint in the front.. I think they should first crack down on those who have those loud ass fart can mufflers. I can hear them every two seconds where i live and its soo hard to sleep at night.

btw. nice car

Have a doctor or optomitrist write you a note that you need to protect your eyes from glare and the tint is 'medical'.

Unless you park the car for a few weeks, you'll probably get nailed...just remember to smile at the nice officer!

Oh, yeah, there are much better and more efficient uses of police time and resources, but that's obviously not a concern for those in charge of your local government...remember to smile at them when you're in court!

Personally, I think they should crack down on all the rapists, drug dealers and murderers first.

your city must be a safe one, since they have time to nail you for your tint. just try to not attract attention. with a TL, they usually look the other way

Right on the money with that one. Personally this kind of stuff is really a waste of time. By the time most cops walk up to the driver side window, they already know who the car is registered to, where you live, and in some cases, whether or not the car is paid off.

They also have those hella-bright spotlights and flashlights to blind you with when they walk up to the car.......

I agree, I can't believe the cops would waste their time on something so trivial as darkly tinted windows. Sounds like they need more revenue. They are cracking down on darkly tinted windows here in Georgia too

How is the officer going to see you smile with that tint??

BTW...your car looks awesome so I hope things cool off so you don't have to remove the tint. It REALLY looks GREAT!!!

Don't your local law enforcement folks have something better to do up there? 5% tint is not legal here in Ohio, either, but I assure you, our local cops, especially in the city, are (for the most part) NOT going to pull you over and let some meth dealer get away from them as a result.

Given the crackdown, I say "busted".

Well it’s Day 4 of the crack down and I had to pass a cop I was in the left turning lane and he was going straight threw. I had the green and he was still on a red. Heart got going as I passed but nothing. I think he let me go because he knew it was such a sweet looking car!! (It was also pouring out) But I don’t think that had anything to do with it.
