Brightest license plate LED?

Anyone have any suggestions for BRIGHT license plate LED? In my BMW I have a custom housing with 24 SMT LEDS on each housing and its VERY bright. I am trying to achieve that look with my TL.

First I had 2 4 SMT LED bulbs and they were barely bright so I modified the housing and installed these 24 SMT bulbs.... but its still not bright as some cars I have seen on here.

I used these and they are hella bright BUT!!!, after about a month or 2 the one on the right hand side started to flicker constantly and eventually burned out. The back part of the bulb circuit board thingy turned black burnt color. The Left side bulb has a slight darkening but didnt burn out. Switched both bulbs out and same thing happened on the right side burning out and left side still running good but slight darkening on back. I then went for some weaker lower watt led flank type and same thing happened for the third time. Never had problems with any of my other leds on the acura and lexus. Might just be a bad wiring on my right license plate bulb socket.

The ones I have are pretty damn bright.

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...91894-1-2.html

Got them in February and they still work good.

They're not so blue is in this pic:

See?

Once mine burns out I'm going with cold cathodes.

They're brighter and whiter...

WDP has cold cathodes.

Crappy quality but you can see the colour difference.

Have you looked into cold cathode tubes?
Sorry not the best pics but these things are pretty bright and a cheap mod, $10 off eBay I believe.

i have the cold cathode tubes in my ride and ive compared then to other tls with leds and theres no comparison. mine were way brighter. albeit, its not as easy to install as changing out a bulb. but if youre handy. they're the best IMHO.

Someone should attempt to install CREE license plate lights or some other high powered LED like Luxeon [sp?] that'd probably be pretty bad ass

Need some help and advice. One of my bulbs in the back went out and I had replaced them 6 months ago with LEDs, so I just changed that bulb with a new one and it still doesn't work. any suggestions??

Bro.. I just went through 3 of your posts: you just dug up two OLD posts and created a new one with the same copy paste question.

Was that really necessary?

I got mine off ebay, they work but are not bright at all... Thinking about switching them back to regular bulbs until i get new ones that are brighter. if you do go with ebay make sure they're super bright
