I need cheap-ass insurance?
What company is a good a company to go to for cheap as insurance for a 16 year who got 4 tickets ( $600) and a car accident and was not added to that insurance when i was in the accident.
And the insurance has to be both ways. I know Insurgence for my Acura will be like 1.5k to like 2k but i got into a accident and it might be 2.5k
Do you guys know a cheap one? Please help me im kinda Fu**ed up here

With that driving record, insuring a salvage title car should be fun. Cost of insurance is relative to many variables. Generalizing, State Farm and Nationwide are more expensive than Progressive and Geico. In my location, with my driving record, credit score, age, driving habits, etc Geico is the cheapest for me. For others in the area including my parents, Progressive is cheaper. Insurance company rates vary by area due to risk assessment for that particular area among hundreds of other variables.
PPPPfffff...consider yourself lucky. I pay $280/month through Geico for full coverage. I'm 29 years old, have roughly 20 tickets and 2-3 accidents on my record (almost all from when I was 18-23 years old). I live in Miami, FL and we probably have the worst drivers in the nation on our streets. I would love it if my insurance was only $2,500/ year. Good luck on your hunt! Maybe check E-surance too, they're backed by Allstate now.

I can't imagine paying even $2,500 a year for insurance. My head is still spinning at that figure...
Correction, I only pay $305/6 months. If I wanted to drop everything to minimal coverage, I would only pay $259/6 months.
This is for both of my TL type-s's:

I carry minimum coverage on my TL type-s that I am selling as I don't drive it anymore. I would hate to have to pay that much for insurance, but I would love to not have to deal with snow and everything else. Crazy that your rates are seemingly much higher in an area like Miami vs Ohio where 3-4 months out of the year there is a much higher risks for accidents and the like in the winter.

That's incredible that this is your amount when you have two TLs, but then again I am full comprehensive on my TL and I live in northern Utah where winter never seems to end (it snowed in July once, no joke). My coverage also includes UMPD and medical payments, so that's probably where my difference in price largely comes from.
I'm originally from Cincinnati so I think you're right on the increased amount based on winter weather. I know my insurance rates were significantly higher there than they were here (notwithstanding that I was younger, and still in high school), and talking to an insurance adjuster friend of mine he half-jokingly suggested that it's because Utah drivers expect winter weather. People in Cinci tend to freak out and not be as adept at driving through crazy winter conditions.

Wow, some of you guys pay an ass load for insurance geezus. I'm 33, married, no accidents (ever), couple tickets here and there over the last decade, I'm at $432 every 6mo for my 07 Type S and my wife's 04 Accord. So 72 bucks a month for full coverage for two cars. I use Geico and am very happy with their customer service and easy to use app on my iPhone.
Why do we keep seeing these type of threads started in every car forum I've been to? The bottom line is always the same. Different people are going to pay different amounts for their insurance. Everyone has unique characteristics that will affect their rates. The only way to find out what YOU are going to pay for your car's insurance is to do your research and check out what is available for your situation. Hearing what others pay has no bearing on what you will pay.

Not preaching, but perhaps a lecture instead...
I would say a 16 year old with 4 tickets and an accident probably shouldn't be driving- that's a ticket < 3 months! Believe me there is no cheap insurance for anybody with that kind of driving record. You can post a bond possibly but that could make your parents very liable if you should get into another car accident though.
You can save a ton of money selling the car and taking bus, paying off your friends for rides, or even riding a bicycle instead for a year or two.
I have a 16 year old daughter and I'm waiting to let her get her license for these very reasons- she'll be 17 when this happens. She seems to be dealing with it and has no problems getting rides from people.

Wow you guys make me want to move the hell outta Miami...but the women here are too ridiculous to just leave lol. I pay $80 more for insurance than I do my car payment every month. I know everyones rates vary on many variables, but its still cool to see what everyone else is paying...here is my long (and sh*tty) driving record........and no, I'm not proud of it:

Most of that stuff is old, so it's not really as bad as it looks. I don't know how Florida works, but NY only surcharges for violations in the last 39-40 months, so those 2010 infractions would soon be insignificant.
If you live in the middle of no where, insurance rates will be lower opposed to major cities, where accidents, thefts and more claims are prevalent. Its all risk proportion and insurance companies have ehaustive data on these figures.
hahahahahaha I know dude....trust me i'm really ashamed of my record, but if you grew up in the madness that is Miami, you may be more understanding. it seems as if they just give drivers licenses out to just anyone down here. and this city is FULL of immigrants who know jack shit about driving. road rage is a mofo...I lose my patience quickly, hence all the speeding tickets. if I ever decide to move away, i'm going to have to "de-program" myself from the "me first" mentality that everyone has down here

My Insurance for the Busa & the Type S was getting real Low. $570 full Coverage, Then the Highway Patrol closed the freeway on me and mistakenly gave me a ticket for someone speeding. It went up to 2800 year, Car only. now Car only is 100 a month, bye bye busa.....

I had my 01 integra at that age. Cheat wad eusurance at like 120$ a month. Safe auto coverage sucks but they are cheap since they have state min coverage like 10k 15k. I have Erie now at 45$ a month with 200k/300k

When i moved from LA to Miami, i was surprised that the insurance was more expensive. When i asked the agent why is that, apparently there are more old drivers getting into accident than people driving without insurances getting caught. It was like a 20 a month increase than my usual insurance. sigh. well atleast we still don't have emissions.

Doc...pretty sure the car insurance in NJ is higher than any other state in the country. I've lived in 7 different states over the last 30+ years and the insurance was by far the highest in NJ.
