Brief course in Navi TL 04

Can someone please give me instructions on running a test on a 04 TL Navi system to see if all or most of the functions perform properly? Still looking at an 04 with 89k for 11,800. Going to look at it on Saturday. Thank you.

Well it generally preforms a self-test every time is boots up, but if you want to go into the advanced menus and play around hold MENU+CANCEL+MAP GUIDE all at the same time for 5 seconds. I hope I got the buttons right someone please correct me.
Also be careful on what you mess around with.

Thanks RonJon,
I'll try this out on Saturday. If the Navi is not working properly will it display it or tell me? Also, I live in Portsmouth. Any good parts around? Thanks again.

I've just gotten off of work and I'll do a search for 757. At first I thought you flew a 757 then I looked. I work for an airline. I'm flying up to NY on Sat. Thanks

Press (the yellow underlined buttons) and hold for a few seconds. Diagnositc Menu will appear. Pretty much self explanatory from there. You can do a few on screen touch screen tests. Nothing major. But if it will do those, it should be a working unit.

Review the commands from the 3G TL Navi owner's manuals in the 3G Garage sticky, then try some of those commands (like "display gas stations," "display hotels," "Go Home," etc.) in the car by pulling and releasing the Navi voice control switch on the back side of the steering wheel.
Hope that's what you need.
