breaks busting my bllz

Hey guys,

my brakes are squealing and its driving me crazy.
This happens when I am stopping with light to moderate pressure applied to the brakes.

I know for a fact that the car doesnt have original acura disks or pads.
My breaks and pads are jobber ones with around 6k on them.

I would like to know if the squealing will stop by simply changing the pads to acura originals?
Is it necessary to resurface teh disks when only changing pads?

thx for the info

ewwwww....jobber brakes. i would suggest probably swapping out the pads, not neccessarily with oem pads though.

resurfacing would solely depend on the condition of the rotor. i know some guys who swapped out their brembo pads a few thousand miles into ownership, but the rotors were fine.

6mt or 5at?

its a 05at.....not sure what to do know....how do I know if I need to resurface or not?
Does the squealing noise usually come from the back ot the front? both?
if its only the front then I dont need to change the back ones I guess....

The sqealing only happens when the breaks got warmed up already....the first few stops I do in the morning I dont hear the noise but after 4-5 stops it starts.

Put some anti-squeal compound between the pads and the shims to start with. It's a $5 / 30 minute fix that usually works.

Inspect the rotors, any grooves on them?

I looked at the disks and I dont see any grooves on them....I read some threads about the grease in back of the pads.....not sure that will cure the sqeals...if the disks are good I basically dont need to resurface them right?!

here is the pics I hope they dont make your eyes bleed :P
