Break-in period

Hi All ,
What is the recommended break-in mileage for our cars? Any special care should be taken during break-in period?
Thanks in advance

Nikko, welcome aboard and congrats on your new ride. One of the very first things I learned when I joined was to check out the Garage thread. It has a lot of info for our cars and you'd be surprised at what is there. One of the other things is using the "Search" feature. It's really helpful if you have a question about a certain topic. Again, welcome and enjoy your ride as much as you enjoy driving your TL.

Yes, shame on you. lol There are two things that you should consider doing: 1) read the manual, and 2) go to the 3G garage where you will find a plethora of info regarding break-in period and oil/filter recommendations. There is usually more information on this forum than you will ever use. Oh, you will find the "search" feature helpful too.

Change the oil when the MID tells you to change the oil. The technology in the car is acurate. Change it only when needed, because it will adapt to your driving conditions.
