Is it possible to upgrade the front brakes on the 5at models with the fron Brembos from the 6mt? Is it a straight bolt on or are there any other issues?

Do the manual models have different sized rear brakes? Would this upgrade maintain propper breaking distribution?

this has been brought up many times and no one has done it so far. nothing is impossible but it just varies on how much has to be changed. i don't remember the exact info but i believe there was not enough clearance to fit the brembos in the 5AT. the rear brakes are the same on both cars.

 

We identified a bunch of the needed parts in a thread a while back, don't remember which one. A lot of stuff - knuckles, rotors, calipers, pads, shields, lines, misc. HW. I think the booster and master cyl were the same. Parts total was up in the aftermarket kit range, so I think the research stopped there.

 

There are previous threads detailing the parts, which run something North of $2500 due to brakes and new suspension uprights required.
