Brake pad interchangeable? 787 and 1506

Hey, brake question again.

I've noticed the base 3G TL's front brake appears identical to 8G Accord EX/EXL's.
A kind member has recently confirmed the rotors are interchangeable between those two despite having different OEM part numbers.

I have a spare set of Stoptech 309.07870 purchasd for TL that I didn't use, and want to use it on the Accord.

Stoptech has a different P/N for the Accord saying 309.15060 but Rockauto lists both 1506-series of products as well as Akebono ACT787 for the Accord.
The dimensions are off by 0.1mm in the Stoptech drawings but.... Hawk and many performance pad manufacturers list them as idential/compatible under FMSI reference number D787/D1506.

What are the differences (if any) and can I use 787 in 8G Accord / 1506 in TL?

I'm just posting a question as I do the search myself so I'll come back as I find more info.

Thank you.

----
I've found so far... D787, 959, 1276,1506, 1608 to be possibly interchangeable...

I've installed 787 pads in Accord calling for 1506 and drove around couple hundred miles city and it's fine. I don't know if anyone noticed it from the diagram on Centric's website but the only difference is the holes on the side of 1506 for 2 pairs of U-shaped (or V or however u want) steel wires that looks like it's keeping the pad off the rotor when not braking but I don't really think that is necessary.

The clips were shaped a little differently toward the outer side but that might have been OEM vs Stoptech. Regardless, where the pad touches the clips are identical.

I'm not responsible for anything happening to anyone for using "wrong" pads on their car because of my post but now I know I will buy whichever is cheaper.
Everything you do is at your own risk.

Sometimes, the PN difference in pads relates to the holes for the pad spreader clips. Could be the case here.
