I haven't personally tried but I have heard some really good things about duplicolor... maybe members who have tried this can confirm this?

yes duplicolor kit for 10 bucks is great, used by many here
I use it on the 01TL

Kit contains spray cleaner-tape-brush and paint thats temp safe to 600 degrees F
If your caliper is that hot,,,a tree is probably looming in the windshield~

make sure the caliper is really clean, and if you are really hard core then take the pads out, unbolt the caliper from the knuckle, mask everything off before you go nuts with the paint!! good luck!

Duplicolor is colored high temp paint, not a clearcoat, and it comes in spray paint can or liquid form with brush. I prefer the liquid for less mess and masking with more finite control on the edges
It last pretty well with 3 coats, Just a little touch up before an azine meet~ and all is good
The spray cleaner in the kit works good. I use a wire wheel on a drill or some sandpaper to rough the caliper surface for even better adhesion of the paint

Remove the calipers and pads from the mounting bracket, paint the bracket too
That way you dont wash away the special grease on the pads and in the caliper slides
Never hurts to do a real brake pad inspection anyway and regrease the sliding bits

Duplicolor gloss black will make plain rear calipers look like brembo fronts
Standard caliper cars paint the front and rear for a stealthy sports car look. With the small size of the calipers- painting them bright just draws attention to the fact they are stock.
IMO- stealth them black
You can also paint the edge of the rotor and its center hub and edge where surface rust always forms on the bare metal ---then it wont!

Did mine in black to match the fronts....used a brush & did not have to take them off or mask them.

That's how I did my calipers on my old TSX. Painted them red and used the Duplicolor kit. Worked great and had enough left over to do another set of calipers.

Its possible to paint the calipers with them installed,
I wanted everything to match so the brackets were done at the same time
check gen2 DIY or gen3 garage sections for detailed info on how to use masking tape and a small paintbrush~

The brembo would be rice-ish, but the other ones would be cool. I think your car club would be cool.

G2 paint is supposed to be the best DIY kit but is a bit pricey. I can vouch for Dupli-color, it's <$20, brush on and good quality stuff. The kit comes with all you need.

duplicolor kit with all you need for 2 cars or more, is 10 bucks at any parts store

red is cool if you have actual big brakes to show off

Black is for hiding tiny stock brakes and keeping the rust look away!
Brembo stickers??? only enough room for BREM on the calipers~
Paint em black and call em Bimbos or Blembos

To do it right, you should take the brake pads out, tape and clean all parts, sand all areas and paint it with the right high temp paint. Please, Please, Please don't put Brembo on a standard A/T car. What's next a type-S logo on the back of your base TL?

You can buy it as a spray paint but I prefer the liquid paint can kit as I described before.
10-12 dollars and has big spray can of cleaner (like carb cleaner) to remove dust and grease.
Since its important to maintain the grease at the caliper-pad contacts I remove the 2 bolts and pop the caliper off the bracket.
That lets you do a brake pad inspection while you are in there- check pads and rotors -clean out the old grease and relube with synthetic hi temp brake caliper grease

There is an other option:
BBQ- barbeque paint, in flat or gloss black- same temp rating of 500-600 degrees and cost 5 bucks
If you own a can of brake cleaner, sandpaper, tape etc, thats another way to go
You can spray some paint into a cup and use a brush too, if needed

On guy had his calipers powder coated!!

check kragen.com for exact specs- my gen2 was about 50 foot pounds front calipers and 18 rear calipers- they have a much smaller bolt

you can be a human torque wrench- press down on the wrench and feel how much muscle effort it takes to try to move it more,,- now remove it feeling how much effort.
careful!!! not to overtighten bolts with an air gun like the shop does- those guys ruin cars~

to each his own way--
if you buy a spray can get a few flux brushes or small foam brushes just in case you need to switch methods

Excess paint in the air can get on everything- thats a main reason I like the brush, control

With brush you can easily do the brackets and the center of the rotor where its rusty

The spray would be more glossy looking (better looking imo). Just don't let it run.
