for those who got their car brand new..how many miles did it have when you drove it off the lot? i had 6 myself...

Long time ago, don't remember...all I know is I've had the car 11 months and have 7,900 miles on it.

What's worse is that I have/can get tickets to the golf tourney here for tomorrow, but no one wants to go. I'm not even a big fan of golf, but it beats work.

 

mine had 2 and the mechanic drove it to put gas and came back and was 4. he probley messed around with it. so what! i bought it anyway.

 

the car was pulled off the semi truck then a mechanic drove it to go fill it up wiith gas.

Does the manufacturer drive it 2 miles to test it before shiping it to destination?

I think mine only had 4 or 5 miles on it when I picked it up. I'm also bored to death here at work (well ending as it is after 6pm here in joisey).

It's been a month and it now has about 1300 miles on it which now that I am thinking about the matter worries me since I never put more than 1000 miles a month on my cars and it is a lease with 12k a year. I think I've been finding excuses to drive more I used to. I guess I'll worry about overages in a couple of years.

Yes. Before They Ship It Out, They Do Test Drive It For Exactly 2 Miles To Check Everthing Is Working Properly.

We have about 1100, it's been about 3 weeks.

 

i was in the USAR but only signed up for a year after i did my active duty time (4.5yrs), during that active time, went to iraq for 6mths, came back, got a job, did the reserve thing (sucks in comparison, absolute waste of time) for a year, got out, still working, still bored..yay!

 

hmm, good question..i dunno...i don't get paid much, just enough, but i'm in school as well...extra money from the GI bill...WOOHOO!

 

btw...i'm at 54XX miles in about 4mths now...

 

5 miles when I picked it up, bought in October and now I have 14,000.
