Sorry if it’s a dumb question but I’m curious, if I have an 07 TL can I take body parts from an 04 model?

What specific parts are you talking about? Many parts are the same, but certain ones vary slightly based on year.

AFAIK, the only body panels that changed over the years for the 3G are

1) Front bumper for MMC (2007-8) for the addition of the DRL and the foglight (moved to lower bumper)
2) Rear bumper with the addition of the lower vent.

Which is pretty typical for Honda/Acura MMC as plastic body tooling cost far less than metal body panel tooling

Mirrors are different with the turn signals added.
Navi model trunk lids have a "special hole" for the camera.

All I can think of, body-wise.

A-spec front and rear lips vary based on year and trunk spoilers can also be different.

Front and rear bumpers are different, but should bolt right up. The rear trunk-lid is different and you will need to buy the license plate holder for the 04, or modify your 07 one to fit.

The headlights have a different connector for the turn signals, and the 04 has fat ballasts vs the slim ones in 06+.

Otherwise same exact body parts

I love when topics like this pop up, the OP posts a topic, and then never comes back..

Lowkey, instead of waiting for an answer I decided to do heavy research, which took a few weeks until I bought the TL I wanted. Mb for not responding, just decided to read the manuals from different years and google.

Why not start with that then rather than come in here and ask and not check back?
Either way glad you got your answer but a thank you for everyone that bothered responding should be in order.

I know FB and IG and other newer sources have surfaced but if you're serious about modding/fixing you'll find this forum
is second to nonw. Welcome!

Amen to this, this is my #1 go to stop anytime I have a question or need help. Which reminds me....can anyone tell me why my "check fuel cap" message is on and how to fix it?

Nevermind, I'll see myself out...
