Body Colored window vent visors???
I was wondering if anyone has gotten the OEM vent visors and had them painted to match their car?? I think it would look very unique. I know it must have been done before, right??
I did it a couple times on trucks I had and unless the color match is 100% dead on they stick out like a sore dick. It might be hard to match the OEM color as the color of the shades can taint the applied color.
Don't forget the flex agent as the first time someone shits the door and does it where thier hand goes over the top of the door and pushes the vent in a bit its going to crack the paint.

eh. i wouldnt personally... it would end up looking awkward i think... i would only color match if it was on NBP... but they're already black... but would look cool if they were pearl

Well, it's official. I dropped my door visors off for paint today. I should get them back by the beginning of the week, and hopefully will put them on by next weekend. I'll post up pics when I can!

Well, I got them painted and they look great IMO. I can't find the cord to my digital camera (damn woman put it somewhere). I will post pics in the photo gallery tonight or tomorrow...
Maybe it's me, but when modding the car, the car should remain it's elegance... turning it into a rice mobile....no good...any particular mod should not scream for attention... everything should flow with the theme....
it looks alright in the chop. that said, there has always been something that bothers me about the one on the back doors. don't like it.
like others have said, it will look the best with NBP.

I think it was $150 for the visors and $75 for paint...

If I have SSM, and ASPEC, possible it would go... The moment Visors stand out from the rest of the car...this is what I don't like....

Why did you black out the tail lights?

The window trim on the TL is glossy black and begging you to tint the car. It blends in perfectly.
I used to love ventvisors in the 90s and my cars used to have em. That and sunroof deflectors. But now they only look right on certain cars. Luckily the Acura OEM ones are not half bad. (I almost did a set on my car but backed off. The sunroof deflector does NOT look right on the 3GTL.) But the visors look good left the way they are. See if you paint the vent visors they will create a contrast like in Tekno's pic...They won't look right at all. If the window trim was body color (like an ol skool Benz) then you could paint them. There are people on the forum who have painted them.....Nah. You want them to blend in. If you do visors make sure you do tint too.
