To black out...or clear...
Can't decide what I want to do! My headlights need something done to them because they look to plain, but I donno what would look best with my setup. My wheels are friggin bright silver, so I don't know how a complete front black out would look with ultra bright wheels. On the other hand, I think clearing looks nice, but upclose it kinda looks incomplete. What do you guys think?
*Oh yeah, as for my emblems...color match, black chrome, or leave as is?

With the already black grill, Blacked Headlights would look sick. Cleared would probabaly be ok, but IMO, not as badass as blacked.
As long as you've got the silver rims, leave the emblems alone (maybe debadge the "Acura" and "TL" on the deck lid).
BTW - how'd you do the chrome around the grill opening? Paint? Is there a thread with an explaniation and/or DIY?

^^ What do you mean? The entire grille is color matched lol
I think it would look cool blacked out with those chrome inserts for the lower grille...what do you guys think?

Headlights: black, leaving the chrome strip, bezel and inner part of the fog light as is.
Emblems: leave as is.
Bearcat - chrome the grille opening? His grille is painted NBP. Wha' chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?

Yeah, the chrome strips in the lower grills and the remaining chrome strip in the headlight would look sharp - kind of tie everything up with the wheels.
Sorry - I meant, "How did you black out the grill? Did you Paint the original Chrome? Replaced it? Any DIY info on that?"
I agree with the Blacked Out Grill, Blacked Out Headlights would be awesome.

One on the right for me
I've had both - started with clear lights, like them for about a month, and then changed my mind. I blacked them out and it looks a lot better. I'm much happier and wish that I didn't waste my time clearing them out.

Black em out...
JJ, the real right answer is to buy a second set of headlights and have the headlight guts proffesionally colomatch painted NBP.
Here's my headlight plan:
I bought a 2nd set of headlights (well actually 1, the other had to be returned, damaged in shipment).
Gonna take em apart and have the interior pieces to be proffessionally painted to colormatch the dark silver ofthe bottom of the A-Spec kit.
Install ZKW lenses (crystal clear) with Phillips 85122+ bulbs (4300K 4300 lumens )
Install new angel eye rings around HID lens
Install a little strip of Carbon Fiber right along the outermost edge in that blank area that used to be covered with orange
Install orange leds running light/turn signals
When ready... I'll then swap these parts into my existing headlight housings. This will allow me to clear headligths in one afternoon.
I'll then take the stock parts out of my headlights, and make them availble to be blacked out for the next guy... Hang in there for another month and I'll make you deal on a set of already cleared and blacked headlights.

hold out, almost there.
I have all the parts (ZKWs, bulbs, CF, and just ordered the Halo kit), I even have a paint shop lined up. I just need a passenger side 2004-2005 headlight shell/projector...
Any help there?

Words of advice if you are going to black out the headlights and the emblems then you have to do something with the taillights and the side markers to. If you blacked out the tails and the side markers and put LED's in them to brighten them up then that would be crazy and look pretty clean. You car then would look like the batmobile...lol

Emblems....leave them chrome
Lights...i'd chrome those out
The wheels are absolutely sick!!! Chrome would accent the car nicely since its all blacked out. VERY clean-lookin TL

I opt for you to paint the housing black. I finally got around to painting mine and now i want to stab myself to death for not having done it 2 years ago.

Not to be pushy or anything, but, uhmm ..... can I have your car? I'm local, so I can pick it up when you're, shall we say, finished.
