Seriously consider changing your oil yourself.

All depends on the cost, Here in Springfield, MO I can get an oil change with new filter at the Acura Dealership for 30 plus taxes. It would cost me almost that much for me to do it myself....

Not if you use synthetic, you can expect to pay $60+ at most places. Can buy 5 quarts of Mobil 1 for $23 at Walmart.

You won't have to tell the dealer to do anything else.. I am sure they will offer a million and one services just to get that cash. I only go to the dealer for warranty coverage...

At my dealer when i got my oil changed for the first time the service guy literally walked up to me in the concession area and told me that there are some problems and need to replace soon. If your dealer is a top notch dealer i am sure he/she will tell you "this and that." As for rattles they will not care unless you mentioned it!!

sounds like your dealer is top notch...and he likes to milk every dime out of you for every stinking little thing.....

dealers are a joke for minor maintnence....do it your self and save the time and money....

+1.

they may suggest a tire rotation with 4k on the odo, possibly an air filter change (even though it won't really require one).

i work at a dealership. don't EVER go to a dealership for an oil change. do it yourself on a saturday afternoon, or take it to a jiffy lube.

I also have about 4,000 miles on my '08 tl-s but my display says I still have 60% oil life left, is that normal? If the OP is already at 15%, why is mine so high still?

every 8000 or so miles is about the avg oil change. Depends on the type of driving. city miles = more frequent, fewer mile oil changes, highway miles = less frequent, higher mile.

The initial factory oil has special compounds in it that help break your engine in. You dont want to rush that first oil change.

Yep on the tire rotation and DIY route. No so much on Iffy Lube recommendation.

If you're down that low on the OLM, chances are you're doing lots of stop & go driving, a tire rotation might not be a bad idea.

Ya, 3,600 of my are all city, and about 100miles is highway. So i should get change my oil and filter, when i get to 4,000miles. And should i get tires balanced or rotated or something. B/c thier are alot of bumps on my way to work and the steering wheel always turn left by it self if i let go. B/c a couple of time i didn't see a couple of speed bumps, and went over them pretty fast?

you may have messed up the alignment- thats probably covered under the 12 month adjustment rule on new cars for you, at the dealer
stop nailing bumps- things can get bent in the suspension !!

Please understand- brand new cars have a special oil- a kind with low detergents to allow the needed wear in of certain parts
Changing it early will cost you money from now on- as result of lowered gas mileage~
Engines, trans and brakes all have a bed in period of time

Maybe it's doing that because you forgot to mention as you wrote in other threads that you drive on 50 psi. That might have something to do with it????? Ya gotta think a little. If you run the car with that much pressure, the car is gonna absorb the impact. I also think that when the dealer inspects your tires and sees the amount of wear on them, there gonna know you have been doing burnouts on all 4000 miles as you state on here about every other week.

Good luck.

Can't wait untill you see a bill for an alignment and two new front tires. Bring your checkbook and post a picks of your front tires to see what they look like with flat spots.

I just went yesterday for oil change. Well i told him when i making a stop, the steering wheel tugs to the right, and when i let go of steering wheel it moves to the right. And of course he says okay hop in, so he driving and go around the block, and nothing happens. And i was omfg. So they just said they would check the underbody and the tires and alighnment. Then i said i want sythetic they said that was be 75$ extra i was like holy *#@!. So i just siad put reg mobil 1. And they said they checked everything, and said alighment wasn't messed up. And i never did a burnout in my car. I treid 1 time. But that's it. And he put the psi down to 40. My tires haven't lost any tread, he said they were in very good condition.
