I have a NBP and was wanting to know which tails would look best, as of right now my car is pretty much bone stock with the exception of tint, but I was looking between the 08 type s tails or 08 base tails. Heres both, and do these really only go for $52 each? How much does installation usually run for?

Lets just say that OEM I get for just a little over $200(which is about $200 under list at a stealership, and those are after market, DEPOs, and yes $52 is cheap but after shipping and everything your paying $140.

As per install I charge $60 and it takes about an hour for me. My first time is was about 4 hours to figure it all out. I picked up a set of tail lights from a guy who told me he paid $600 for his TYPE-S tail lights installed and was sad to hear my offer price as he was asking $350 for his base 07-08. He said ACURA charged him $340 for the tail lights and $260 for install.

why don't you get custom tails instead of upgrade oem tails.
check out ACKTL05 he did amazing jobs on those tails.

anyone got pics of a Royal Blue Pearl TL with cleared out tails? black trim with clear?

thinking of going this route just wanted to see if anyone has done this combo on this color TL.

I just ordered my Type-S tail lights yesterday. $128 shipped for the pair. Definitely get the Type-S tail lights.

 

At that price they are probably eagle eyes, the worst made tails IMO. You get what you pay for, but if it makes you happy, its your car. Depos are slightly off color than stock.

 

The tails I want would have the directional signal portion cleared out so you can use amber bulbs. The brighter amber is more noticeable to other drivers, and is the color of the directionals on the 2G and 4G TL's.

Last time I saw these for sale (I don't recall where) they were asking somewhere around $500 for the pair. Guess what I thought they could do with them at that price.

So weird you say that. I was just thinking today about how that'd be cool to have the signals clear with an amber LED, it'd grab more attention. I was driving behind a new Benz that had amber LED turn signals.
