I am sorry it didn't work out for you. For me adding the ferrites reduced static and then adding the capacitors completely eliminated it.

Have you properly grounded the negative wire from the caps to the car's chassis? How many ferrites did you install?

Damn, I dont know what to tell you. All I did was put in the ferrites and the caps. Bolted the grounds to the chassis and it worked.

I guess the best way to troubleshoot the problem is if you find someone with an oscilloscope to probe the wires and determine the problematic frequencies.

My best guess is that they realized the heat sink/driver are generating too much heat and shouldn't be glued together.

Anyways, check out the link from ebay:
2014 2nd GEN 60W 6000LM LED Headlight KIT 30W Bulbs H11 H8 9145 9120 9005 9006 | eBay

Also, I should mention that I absolutely have no affiliation with this e-bay seller. It just happens that I purchased these bulbs and noticed they are a new design.
the ones I got from Frosty are second gen but then again I hot different size

I'm no "expert" but in my experience, the closer the ferrite cores are to the source of your power (+), the better.

I have also found that when the temps reach around -7-9F, LEDS take a fair amount of time to warm up to max brightness...

I read this entire thread from beginning to end for the first time and now I feel like I just got sucked into a terrible ending Lifetime movie. Moments of my life are now gone forever and I'm skeptical to ever install led bulbs in my fogs.

I have installed them in my TL 2 weeks after I bough her, well I got to say few things,
They work great, brite as hell, people hate me when its getting dark and i have DRL on, also when i have regular lights on, they flash their lights at me, thinking I have high beams on.. which i don't.

I have a question for you all, I have 07 TL, I cant run DRL's and regular lights at the same time! why??? is there something I will have to do to get that changed?

Over all, they lights are bad ass, very visible, and you cant tell if these are hid or led. Either way, I like it!

Because DRL are meant to be on during the daytime hence the name daytime running lights. They are meant for other vehicles to see your car from a distance during the day when the sun is still out.

They are supposed to turn off when you turn your headlights on

Your headlights are meant for you to see and other vehicles to see you while driving at night

They turn off because as you experienced, they cause crazy glare.

I know what DRL stand for, the main reason why i'm asking is, is because i seen some TL's here that had DRL and regular HID on all at the same time, also my friend has a 05 TL and he could run DRL and also HID.

That's why I'm asking, that's all..

Thank You.

Those are most likely fog lights on your friends 05. In Canada the inside lights were DRL in 2004-2008. In The US they were Fogs 04-06 and then DRL 07-08 as far as i know.

Your friends 2005 TL doesn't have DRL. They have fog lights located in the headlights.

2004-2006 TL had fog lights in the headlights located near the grill.

2007-2008 TL had the fog lights moved to the lower front bumper and DRLs were added to the fog lights old position

That's because of the garbage cutoff with those bulbs and the hot spots they produce.

My 1700lu 9012 bulbs with the nice sharp cutoff vs these ridiculous 2400lu LED's:

Lux really has nothing to do with the beam pattern, those LEDs are not meant for the housings.... With Halogens or LEDS my Subaru looks like the picture on the right

Has anyone tried these LED's in the 07-08 Type S housing? Is there anything other than what is included in the kit needed for this application to the Type S housing? A lot of pages to look through so sorry if someone else asked lol

Ahh thanks for the technical specs! I knew someone would chime in. I'll look more into harnesses for now and save the bulbs for some other time.

Sure I'll do a side by side pic for you too. My Nokyas are the 35w Arctic White ones if you'd still want them lol. You probably won't once the comparison pics are done
Did you take the dive and get these for your DRL? Any error code? I pulled the fuse on mine so I have the DRL all the time (hate the look of stock DRL) so I guess it wouldn't bother me much...

Yes, they seem to have disappeared.

You can get the exact same ones from eBay.
I've seen them go for a bit cheaper than gtlightingusa and I've seen them go for double the price on there.

Search up "2400 Lumen cree 9005" and you'll find it.
