i saw a TL the other day towing a tiny ass trailer, and i thought to myself, "holy crap, why would anyone do that to a nice TL?" TLs are cars, not trucks and i don't think they're supposed to tow anything. like at all.

Thats a hitch, not a tow hook. That is more retarded than a tow hook though. Tow hook is basically just for looks on most cars you see them on anymore. On a TL though thats kind of cheesey if you ask me. This isnt a Civic, thats were tow hooks belong.

If you are not planning on racing your car at the track (road course, AutoX). Why would you get a tow hook? To me it is a waist of money spend that 12-20 bucks on LED lights or something more useful. If you are going to race your car i would have bought a different car. Something like a BMW, WRX STI, or Evo.

i don't understand why whenever such a topic comes up, everyone wants to give their own opinions as if its their own car...if you're not willing to help the guy, move on and get over it, and be glad to have your own car

@OP, if you could post pictures that would be helpful

looks good..tow hooks are even better for people who park their cars outside..keeps others from gettin to close to your rear bumper..better than bumper guards

I am sorry if I offended anyone. My point was to say that they are considered racing equipment and in some states illegal. That is why they are for off road usage. With that being said i would recommend that you check with you state laws. I know that here in VA they are considered a racing device and are illegal to have on the car. I am a firm believer to each their own. I just gave my opinion. If you have a problem with it dont ask for it or read it.

Exactly why I have mine on. People never get close to the rear cause they're like WTF is that. It's much more subtle looking then a welcome mat across the rear. And most of the idiots drive with it still hanging as if it'll prevent them from getting rear-ended. Dumbshits.

thank you guys for the input. i havent put it on yet ive been real busy with school and work. i know many may not like the idea of it but no i am not doing track and i think it gives a different look to the back bumper.. many things that we all put on our cars, people dont agree with but in the end its our own likings. thank you for the pics as it gave me a better idea on how it will look.
plus ive seen worse things put on TL'S lol. if i ever figure out how to post pics i will post some up lol

The middle is the best placement when being towed.
