beauty of the TL vs other cars
In terms of looking at pure looks only on the outside, nothing on the interior. I think the TL is one of the better looking cars. I was comparing it and the BMW 545 and each are very good looking cars. Which one do you all think is the better looking car.

Now, if I was to pick between the new 5 series and the new TL interior-wise, I would say the TL would win hands down.

i like the new 5 series, the design is very different and takes some getting use to. most bmw fanatics dislike the new design because its too radical and far off from typical bmw design. i wasn't crazy about it when i first saw it but it definitely grows on you.

i like it too, it deinitely grows on you as u see it more on the road. its one mean lookin car. and so is the TL, i definitely like the TLs interior more though, just because everything is put where its suppose to be and the whole dash board just seems to be in porportion..that my 2 cents tho.

I love the styling of the S-type Jag. The only reason I didn't buy one is because I've had friends with Jags who have had nothing but trouble with their cars. I felt a Honda build was more reliable, and was really impressed with the TL when I took a test drive. I think the design of the TL is really beautiful. Whenever I park it I do a walk-around to admire it.

When I first saw the TL, I didn't like the side crease and the rear tail lights that looked like a Pontiac Grand Am (my opinion). Now, after the car has been out a while, it is really growing on me. So much so that I am looking at it to replace our other car.
Since i own one, I think the exterior of the G35 COUPE is the best looking car under 50K. Maybe even under 70K. The sedan on the other hand.....

The only thing I didn't like about the new TL is the "acura" embossed into the front bumper. Everything else about the car is just awesome especially the interior. It was the interior that made me sell my 2002 TLS to get the new style.

i like both the 5 series and TL...if i could afford it..I'd be driving the 5 series...the leather is nice...the steering wheel isn't leather wrapped, but I don't mind...the blinkers undo themselves after a certain time...it's pretty cool...but then again..if I could afford it..I'd also be driving a m3, m5, and a 7 series too...the 7 series' trunk opens and closes itself....i just think the TL is awesome for the price you pay...

First and foremost BMW should tar and feather Chris Bangle. He is ruining there entire product line (evident in shrinking sales). The longer he stays the more damage he does. Case in point, the new 5 series....it is HIDEOUS! It looks like a toyota camry with a BMW badge on it. Just wait until he unleashes the new 3 series (Acura should see a nice spike in sales).
I used to love BMW and hoped to one day drive one.....no longer!! I think they spelled his last name incorrectly it should be MANGLE!!
Most people driving the new 5 series loathe the TL! It is far better looking, better performing (except for the 545), costs SIGNIFICANTLY less, and most importantly passes the stop light test with flying colors (i.e. people stare at the stoplight trying to figure out what type of car it is). In sales terms a 'no brainer'.

The TL is more attractive - I wonder if the new 530 owner who could only see my car's rear-end as I spanked him would agree, hehehe. As for the G35, the coupe is attractive in an understated fashion, not boring, but not eye-catching. As for the G35 sedan, ugh, it borders on butt ugly.

It is funny to read the hate-love opinions about the 5 series I disliked it a lot when it was introduced but over the time it grew on me and now I actually like the new design. The 7 series is horrendous, though. The front of the new 3 series is OK but its rear end reminds me of cheap Korean cars Overall, I would choose the exterior and interior of the TL over any BMW.
On the other hand, someone mentioned the BMW concave wheels ... mmmm, I *love* those. I think they would look great on our TLs. Is it possible to buy this wheel design for the TL?

For me, it was a toss up between a 530iA (2002 model w/ 34000 miles, auto/sport pkg/premium) or Acura TL 5sp/Navi. The BMW was still $2000 more expensive than the TL. I thought the choice was very simple....... TL!

We only have 1 Acura dealer in Louisville so I rarely see another TL around but I see a 3 - 5 or 7 Series at every corner. BMWs will be swamping the used car lots when all those leases run out.
A few months back my wife and I were driving around town and a huge Ford SUV was next to us in the left lane. A very attractive young lady was in the passenger seat and kept staring at us. I, of course thought that she found my masculine charm irresistable and felt pretty good about her reaction at first, but since we were in traffic and she was next to us for nearly 10 minutes I started to get a little uncomfortable. She would look directly at me and then stare in my general direction every time she came along side. After a while I could see that after she sneaked a peek she would turn and make some comment to the driver, who I couldn't see. Eventually we turned off that road and I was more than a little surprised to find that the Ford SUV had turned in behind us.
At the next stop the driver's door opened and a substantially sized guy got out and hurried up to my door. Since he wasn't carrying any weapons I opened my window when he knocked. "My girl friend is crazy about your car and wants to know what kind it is." So much for testosterone, but being a car nut I appreciate people that appreciate a nice piece of automotive design so I offered to pull over and let his girl friend get a closer look. They spent about 10 minutes "oooohing and ahhhing " over the different features and went away very impressed.
It was then that I realized that the new TL is something special. I've owned a lot of cool cars before but none that sparks the reaction that this car does. I've never had anyone chase me down to ask me what kind of car I was driving before.
It's rare enough to still be special but affordable enough to be obtainable by a large group of people. All in all one of my all time favorite cars.
