Battery Life-other things going crazy

I have an 04 6MT and it looks like I'm going to be replacing the battery.

Ever since I got my bluetooth module fixed, the car doesn't start up as robustly as before. It sounds like it will keel over but then it will start.

Then during the commute this morning, the door locks started going crazy; it sounded like it was locking and unlocking, with the driver's door not even locking at all.

I can't even lock the car using the remote; I had to lock all doors manually.

What do you guys think?

Has anyone here changed their original battery already?

Thanks.

The car's haunted.

Just go somewhere like Pep Boys and have them check the battery (it's free). If you need a new one, get one; if not, have the dealer look at the car.

How did you know to get a new one? I mean were your interior lights dimmed, the car's hard to crank, etc?

Well I got a new one last week for my 04'. Everything had been fine no issues that I could notice, but when I went out for lunch the car just clicked. I had Acura Roadside service come out for the jump. Went to Sears and got a Die Hard Gold installed for around $90. My battery was actually leaking alittle when they took it out, so the guy said it probably got moisture in the cell cause it to not start.

Wouldn't that be a faulty battery then?
It should be covered under the new car warranty.

Before I got the TL I had a 2001 Maxima and I never had to change the battery till I sold it in 04.

Not sure what causes these premature short-life-batteries in the TL.

Well my TL is an early VIN #, so that makes my battery 3 years old. Its about time in my opinion. Plus I have a sub/amp combo sucking at it also. By the way the indicator on the top of the battery was still green and it didn't leak until the guy took it out and fliped it upside down to check its charge. Its not like it was pouring out, it had what I would call a drip on the casing which he said burnt his finger alittle.

Battery issues on my 04 and 06 TL

I have had my 06 for about a year. I have taken the car back to the dealer three times affter jump starting it. The first two times I was told it was just a bad battery and replaced them. The third time they said nothing was wrong. I talked them into keeping the car for a few days to let it sit as that is when the battery went dead. Well after sitting for two days it was dead. After checking it out they found the bluetooth unit was staying on all the time and draining the battery. They put a new one in and all is well. My 04 was right at 2 years old (to the day) and they replaced it under warranty. They put in a 100 month battery. We will see how that goes. No other issues with either one in a while.......
