basic trunk lip spoiler question

Hey AZiners,
I've been doing a LOT of browsing these forums and I have definately got the MOD bug, and want to get started...

my question for today is this...what are your opinions on something like this off ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAINT...Q5fAccessories

which is attached by 3M auto tape vs. the $300+ OEM bolt-on version found elsewhere?
do these ebay models usually have a good paint match? are they durable? what do y'all have? I have a stock 05 Anthracite TL. I'm looking to buy soon! Scratch my itch and thanks for your opinions

quick edit: are there different types of these lips as well? Type-S / non-type S?

I have bought this exact one from the guy. Looks like he went up on his price a bit. I think I paid $75 plus shipping earlier this year. This is a very good product for the money. Good paint match and the tape holds well. What I did wad reinforce it with a large bead of auto glue between the tape. I put it down and used masking tape to hold it down real well for about 24 hrs. Stuck tight!!!. It has gone through an Alabama summer and a rainy season in the south and still on there good. You will be satisfied.

Buy the one with the tape like I did. Spend the time to prep the surface with alcohol and plan where you will put it. Use some glue in addition and it won't go anywhere.

...is there a certain type of glue you're referring to? automotive/outdoors etc. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but don't to much gluing to painted surfaces...thx in advance

I hear ya, that was the route i was going to take but ive been persistently trying to find a used type-s spoiler to get a deal bc i think the tl-s spoiler is that much better than the base!

In reality if you prep the surface properly you don't need the glue. Mine has been on 2 years and no issues.
