Unhappy Bad luck hits again....

Well now I found that one of my tires has a bubble in the sidewall and one is leaking. I had planned to buy tires, but not this soon.

I am strapped for cash, but have to have a set as I have a few long trips to drive for work coming up.

I hate to do it, but I am going to have to go with a cheap set of tires for now.

Anyone have any recommendations? I found a few cheap sets on ebay.

What should I do?

Sorry about your problem, but I'll be harsh....

The tires are the only things keeping you the road.. Your safety requires more effort than just to settle for cheap tires.

If you are really short on cash, either really look harder to find a good deal online, or I may get flamed for this, go to a used tire shop, and buy the best brand used tires you have with good thread. I've done that a few time for my other cars.

I would buy two tires with same thread pattern...

I have bought used tires before, no shame in that. Some times you can find some really good deals.

I bought a set of 17" for my last ride with only a few thousand miles on them for less than half of what they were new.

I would consider that but the size I want is not something that most will have used. If you know of a place, let me know.

I really wish I could spend more, but being around x-mas and everything else going on I just do not have the cash. I have to have something as I have to drive on Jan 4th.

Also, looking at those links, some of those tires have an unacceptable load index...tooo low.

This is the winner out of your choices in my opinion, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= Though, I do not know this brand.

P.S. What's your location?

I know the tires are not the best, but I would rather have a full new matching set than 2 new tires and 2 tires that are at the wear bars.

Check craigslist. Good used tires are there all the time.

If you are going to buy used tires (any tires really) check the date they were made...

I dont know the rule for saying a tire is "old" but 3 years is where I would personally draw the line.

the cheapest used tire i would trust is either falken or khumo... used tires, just not worth it...

different camber/toe/caster affects the treadwear... which takes a few thousand miles for the tire to aquire the settings of our cars

^same reason why I dont rotate tires...

I ended up spending the cash and got a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's, I have put about 300 miles on them so far and I am very happy with them.

Out the door with alignment it was $830

I will post up when I get a few thousand on them to give some feedback.
