Bad buying experience with V-LED's !!!

I'm writing this thread to warn you guys on here about the situation I've been having with these people. On Jan 16,2013 I ordered a set of 6k led switchbacks for my type-s. finally around this weekend I got around installing them and was truly dissapoimted. They were not 6k and looked completely white.I then started to test the switchbacks and one side is type 1 and the other bulb is type 2.at this point I defenitly don't want them and decide to call them up.

The guy who picks up the phone tells me they KNOWNINGLY sell 6k switchbacks that really light up 5k. It's the manufactures fault and that that's why they are marked down to $25. WHICH THEY DON'T STATE THAT ON THEIR SITE ANY OF IT.

I told him how can I get this resolved,I just want 6k. He tells me to return them AT MY COST for defective bulbs and they will return my money.and won't work with me on getting me a discount if I decided to buy those real expensive triton which are not worth $139. In my opinion.

With that said
DO NOT BUY 1157 LED SWITHBACK 6k BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET 6k
EXPECT TO PAY FOR SHIPPING FOR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE.

The 60smd one...lol

The ones I had on before are from vleds 5k...my led strobe module was bought from them along with all my interior LEDs. The products are decent.

I just want to let everyone on here what to expect if something comes defective. It's ridiculous that they sell 6k led switchbacks when they know it doesn't light up 6k. If that's the case label them 5k right?

THERE IS 0% CUSTOMER SERVICE OVER THERE. I'm not at fault they send me bad bulbs, they are.

Wow, I've never had a bad experience with them.

It doesn't seem fair that they make you pay for shipping them back, since they aren't what they were advertised to be.

ESR, I'm changing the title of your thread. It's a little more precise, rather than saying "Do not buy"

Not for nothing but you did wait past the 30-day warranty date and it's also on their Warranty policy page that
Shipping costs are not refundable
.

While I do agree that it sucks to have to pay to ship a defective item back to the retailer, you should always read the return/warranty policies before you purchase. It may make you think twice. Or better yet, call them up in advance prior to purchasing.

Damn, people still buy those tower bulbs with like 4 thousand LED's on them? Thats your first mistake. With the V3's out I cant imagine anyone buying anything less. Tower LED's are junk. Sorry about your issues with VLED's I know it sucks trying to work with businesses over the internet. I for one have had great service with them even with a defective bulb a sent once. They got the replacement unit right out to me and said dont bother shipping the new ones back.

If you paid w a credit card, contact the card provider and see if you can resolve it with them. I know AMEX dont play games when it comes to that.

And up until a couple of months ago there weren't many options

Also not everyone wants to spend 120 bucks on turn signal bulbs.

Didn't have time to check them if not I would have done it sooner.i didn't want a refund I just want 6k switchbacks bulbs.

They key is that they KNOW it doesn't light up 6k but still sell them and then don't stand behind their product.

I've read somewhere the 60smd tower one is the best fit for the type s. I have over 1 year with my other switchbacks and never had a problem.its just plain ridiculous the price for v3 but to each is own.i was so desperate for 6k I was willing to buy the v3 bulbs but they want be to pay for shipping for the bad bulbs

It's not shitty product but if you send me something defective exchange it!

The tower SMD units do not compare to the V3s in any way, shape or form. The V3 is superior in quality and brightness. You get what you pay for.

And yes, the "6K" V3s aren't 6K either, they look closer to 5K.

This is not the first time a company has misled the public. It's a shame they won't stand behind it though.

I have the 60's in my Type S and finally have no problems with them.

well like anything now and days you have to pay for return shipping, but that's not a big deal to me its a given when buying online nothing to bitch about. They should atlease offer discount for the hassle though

So many people had no problem...

I will say it totally depends on how you talk to them.
Make everything ready, take pics, proove it.
Mail them from the website. Call them next second.
He will give you a mail, he will say send the pictures to there while you are on the phone.
Be polite, everyone makes a mistake. Sometimes you can't even blame the company, it's the guy that's working there to take phone calls.

Anyways, send the link for the pictures, put in AZ in to words as well.

All he is going to say is, ok we are sending you new ones.
^ That was my experience with them

5K & 6K being same?
I won't say anything unless I saw the same bulb type of 5 and 6 side by side

They claim yeah they both look same, and there you go, that's your excuse. It doesn't say it on the website.
What did you do curse at them or something.
You have your proofs, they wouldn't make you pay for the return cost.

Something is missing in your first post.

Forget return policy. He is not trying to return a normal working item, just because he doesn't want it anymore or whatever..
He is talking about how vleds is taking care of a problem.

They took care of my case pretty well, so I am saying it's totally up to you talk and prove it.

Doesn't mention it on website. They agree they are similir to 5k. Even one is Type-1, other is Type-2

What else you need

Funny thing is, if you looked at a picture of the light on their website, the appearance isn't misrepresented.

The whole time I'm talking to him,I was not hostile or being rude at all, I wanted to figure out a solution. I didn't want a refund just an exchange.he suggested I just return them because the bulbs will jot look 6k. I would have just dealt with it if it wasn't for that 1 bulb flashes type 1 and the other flashes type 2 at times.

I even told him,ill pay for the shipping back but can you work something out so ill buy the v3 bulbs. He say "I'm not offering any discounts right now".

In the end I'm not looking to purchase the v3 but I just want 6k switchbacks!. THE REASON WHY I ORDERED FROM THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE IS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY COMPANY WHO ADVERTISE 6k that I have found for switchbacks.

The point of this thread,I want to aware everyone how they conduct business and what happened to me that could happen to you.i have learned a lot on acurazine

ESP, it really sucks that you got a Customer Service rep that was being less than helpful. Maybe call back and talk to someone else in Customer Service.

Just buy a set from ebay, there are a bunch of sellers that advertise 6K and most of them really are 6K from what I've seen.

I've personally had nothing but good experiences with VLEDs and prefer 5K.

Man, surprised at the amount of people upset at 5K...I'm switching my lighting to 5K, and switchbacks are the last piece I need. Who has a 5K Type S switchbacks that they can recommend, besides $120 Tritons?

On a side note, the eBay 120 LED switchbacks I have I am happy with, and they are 6K IMO. I can find the link if anyone is interesed.

Thanks man. I see 60 LED for $25, 92 LED for $40, and 42 high power LED for $80, apart from the Tritons. Maybe I'll wait for a coupon code and snag the $40 or $80 set.

How many LEDs are yours Matt, you remember?

If they misled like you say Steve, then don't you think it's worthy to not buy there? If so, then why did you change the Topic title?

If you are not with us, then you are against us..

We have a freedom of speech. It is our constitutional right..

If a person says "don't buy there".. that is one man's opinion. Let him be.

It does not matter if you think we are right or wrong in what we say.

Unless you think you are better than us.

Of course, Chad. But it's not right to say, "Don't Buy from ________". That's one person's experience-it's an isolate incident.

In order to make others aware of the situation, it's more exact and correct to say, "Bad buying experience-beware".

Chad, look at it this way-if YOU owned the company that a member said don't buy from, wouldn't you not like that?

I know, for sure, that I'll think twice before ordering from V-LED's. I'd report them to the Better Business Bureau. When I see someone saying, "Don't Buy from _______", the first thing I think of is, "someone is venting steam on a situation". But if I see someone post "Bad Buying Experience", I want to read about what happened.
