back-up sensors
Just do a search as there are lots of threads on this. In answer to your question - yes they work perfectly and - no I won't buy another car without them as they are that good. Comments about how ugly they look should be offset against pictures of scrapes and dents. I think they look great and match the car perfectly.
I have the back up sensors, and they work pretty good and believe that if the beeping volume could be boosted up, it'll do much better.
I don't regret getting it at all, and i'll make sure i have them in my next car.

I have not seen what the back up sensors look like on the TL. I just picked up a 2004 Honda Pilot with a rear camera and it works good but you have to remember to look at the navigation screen which my wife does not always do. I recently rented a car that had back-up sensors and I was really impressed. It saved me twice in a period of 4 days. Both times these jerks were flying in congested parking lots and first they were not behind me and the next second they were as I glanced to check the clearance on the front of the vehicle. I am not certain I will like the look of the sensors on the 2005 TL, but their usefullness will hopefully outweigh my concern about the look of the bumper.
