Smile Back seat comfort

Has anyone try the back set yet. :smackhead ...not as comfortable I
my old 93 Legend with less lap support, but more headroom than 2nd generation TL.

Wow, another thing for me to worry about. As if I don't have enough things now. Since I have never had a 93 Legend or a 2nd gen TL, I won't be able to compare, but I will take your word for it.

To be fair, I did go out just now and jump in the back seat to test it out. Seems a little firm to me, but since I never ride in the back seat of any of my cars, I still cannot make an objective comparison.

My son LOVES the center of the back seat (i.e. the hump). He says it is "more comfy" than the regular left or right side. He's only 8 and I think it has more to do with the view he gets from the center is better (higher up) than the view he gets from the other seats.

I think the back seats are really comfortable. The only seat I don't like is the passenger seat which is too low. Why didn't they make that adjustable?

My inlaws ride in the back seat regularly. The only issue is when my father-in-law, 5'11", sits in the seat behind mine (e.g. driver's)--I sit with the seat all the way back, and it dings his knees. So Mom-in-law sits there with no difficulty. They were able to sit in my 2G TL with NO difficulty.

's OK, though, I'm the only one in the car most of the time anyway.

That's low. Taking a cheap shot at someone's son. Try picking on someone your age - or are you that age? I think you threw that out there just for fun, but lacks any thought.

Damn. I was trying so hard for poverty-stricken and moronic, but it looks like I accidentally raised my standard to merely low-class and stupid.

Get over yourselves, people. I have seen several comments on this board where people have used the terms "gay" and "fag" in truly derogatory fashion, without a peep from any of you self-righteous moral kings. But here I use it OBVIOUSLY as a joke and get bashed. I have a few gay friends and we kid about "fag" and so forth all the time. As long as it's in jest. Meanwhile, people on this forum call each other "faggot" because one likes an Infiniti more than an Acura - who cares - or they say someone's mods are "gay" because they don't like them. THAT'S low-class and stupid, my friends.

There is a difference between homophobic references and 'NAMBLA-esqe' references. I do have a problem with hearing a child referred to as a 'fag' - even in a joke. That's the nerve you hit. You made the comment to get a rise out of people. It worked. If that makes me a self-righteous moral king, so be it.

I have to agree with Aegir here, TLGator.

It's never, ever acceptable to poke fun at things that are extremely immoral or illegal. I've found that some people are very sensitive. Especially niggers.

NAMBLA-esque? What the fuck are you talking about? I didn't say I wanted to jump his son.

I'm the furthest thing from a homophobe - I'll bet you a Coke I know more gay people, socialize with more gay people, work with more gay people, and do business with more gay people than 99% of the self-righteous assholes on this forum. And I've got news for you, there is such a thing as a gay child. People who end up gay don't suddenly wake up that way when they're 16, 17 years old. What's this bullshit about being offended because it was a child? Get over yourself. I made a joke. You didn't think it was funny? Fine. It was hardly a big deal. Like I said, you want to get angry at someone for making inappropriate gay comments? Go after the morons who use "fag" and "gay" cruelly in thread after thread. Police them, Mr. Self-Important Homophobia Squadron Leader.

Geez, I've inspired a raging rant. Don't take me so seriously! I was only trying to be a bit bombastic and rude to stir the pot and entertain myself in the process. Besides, I thought you and BJ were on an evangelical kick lately?

Your perspectives on these social concerns shall generate considerable introspective contemplation tonight while I drink.

I thought the comment to be quite witty. Since it was a joke I took it that way, just like all the dead baby jokes I hear from my friends. It is all in good but sick humor.

Wow, it's ridiculous how off topic threads can become in this forum. It's not just every once in a while, it's every other thread. I don't get this forum. I frequent altimas.net very often and would have guessed there would be a higher maturity level here. Instead I see the majority of threads going way off topic and also teams divided by their car's color. What the hell is that? Sounds like something middle schoolers would do.
I really like this forum and have been able to learn a lot about the TL, which I hope to purchase soon, but I expected more from people owning a $35k car.

I just picked up my TL on Thursday. My daughter, age 8, has been sitting in the
center of the back seat so she can stare at the NAVI!

tl gator, I understand that you are tolerent towards the homo society and therefore a mere mention is not offensive to you. However, I (and others) am a rare breed that still live in a cave and dispise the gay agenda (I don't want to understand it, don't push it in my face through media). Therefore, your j/k reference to a child being homosexual is VERY offensive to us 'old fashioned' people. Having said that, I probably shouldn't have pointed out your reference and cause two pages of rambling.

Now, back to the back seat, I've had many friends (some larger) that have rode in back seat of my car and was surprised to find it comfortable and also allows for plenty of leg room. I have not sat in the back seat so can't make any comments.

OK, everyone. Calm down. I didn't reply to TLGator's initial barb because IMHO it wasn't worth it. But since this is going on I thought I'd let everyone in on the truth. My 8 year old son got his 11 year old daughter pregnant. Since they are both minors, there's no way of enforcing legal issues. Gator's just upset that he now has one more mouth to feed... (Now, let this rest)

If you weren't black, you'd be less sensitive and have a better sense of humor. Lincoln freed the slaves; isn't that enough to even the score?
