Back in an Acura!
Back in an Acura!
Hi all
I'm new posting here, but I've been lurking for months. We recently purchased an '08 Acura TL with Navi in Carbon Bronze Pearl with the Taupe interior. It was Certified Pre-owned (a little old lady leased it and only drove it to volunteer at the local pet shelter) with about 28K on it ( she apparently went other places than the pet shelter).
My wife had a '90 Acura Integra GS coupe in Melbourne Blue Metallic for 12 years, and we only traded it for a Subaru Outback because she was pregnant with our (now 7 years old) son and needed a car with more than 2 doors.
The TL is SWEET! We like the color combo and haven't seen another like it around here. It's her car, but I like that I have MY key and MY seat and radio settings when I do get to drive it.
I'm not planning many mods...just tinting the windows, maybe a subtle pinstripe, and a sunroof bubble. The stealership replaced the Michelins with Yoko's, but I'll start looking for winter wheels/tires soon.
Anyway, just sayin' "Hey"!

Some like stripes, some don't...I do if they compliment the lines and color of the car.
As for tires, I'll look into the DWS's. We live in a lake effect snow belt, so "all-season" tires just don't cut it. 4" of snow in a day is not considered "light snow".

Yeah, just saying it still compares pretty damn favorably against true winter tires.

Congrats on the TL, nice upgrade
Welcome to AZ. Check out the 3G garage for tons of info and don't forget to register on www.myacura.com. You can store your Navi and radio codes there. Also, check for recalls.

Thanks, all. Already signed up on MyAcura.com, but haven't stored the log-in codes yet...still making my way through all the manuals. It took me 3 tries to get the Bluetooth to work with my wife's Crackberry....'course she gave me the wrong password the first 2 tries. Works great with my iPhone.
I'll post pics when my "probation" is up.

did the dealer tell you a little old lady owned it or do you infact that it was owned by a little old lady? salesman get more kudos for selling that car that was "owned by a little old lady that just drove to church"
just saying.
atleast its CPO
enjoy!

hah yea ... i laugh at my friends that get a sense of comfort from the fact that the salesmen told them that it was owned by an old lady lol
I checked the CarFax and no recorded accidents. It does have a few "old lady" tattoos....a couple scuffs on the front bumper, two wheels are curbed (mildly) and the passenger mirror has a nick in it, like it hit the garage door frame or something. It was regularly serviced at the dealership, which is the same one I used to take the Integra to, and they do an awesome job there. Plus, it is Certified. And under it all, its a Honda, and I have yet to have one steer me wrong.
