AWD version?

All,

Does anyone know if Acura is coming out with an AWD version of the new TL and when? I thought I heard that one might be on the way. If it is, I might wait until the 2005 model to buy if it is available then.

Thanks.

Acura is testing a new AWD RL right now, but there are no plans for an AWD TL yet.

Oh, I guess the A-type is the only one on the way. Say, RJC RSX, I see that you are in Northern VA like me. Which dealer do you prefer, Radley or Pohannka? I used to use Radley for service on my 92 Integra, but currently own an 2001 Audi A6 2.7T. I plan on dumping that maintience hog next summer and getting a TL and was happy with Radley, but Pohannka claims to be gunning for the national sales title right now and says they can get the car I want more easily (red/parch auto w/ nav). I honestly wes not as inmpressed with Pohannka's sales guys. Any experience with either?

I think the upcoming concept at the LA show will be the basis for a high performance TL in the future--maybe AWD, IMA, or higher engine output. Just me $.0002. Happy holidays

I don't see a high performance TL in the future without AWD or RWD

I think 270 hp is near the max for FWD and if the TL is going to break 300 hp it will have to be in either RWD or AWD. I just hope that if it is AWD, it will be available in a 6 spd.- and not copy what the G35 did and made the AWD in auto only.

Yes, Pohanka is now the largest Acura dealer in the world. We've bought 2 cars from them, specifically with salesman Alex Kresin, and have been very, very pleased. He's a great, no BS kind of guy and will definitely cut you a good deal. If you would like, I can pass along his email address, and let him know Ryan Carter referred you.
