sup everyone i ahve an 04 TL and i wanted to know if it has the auto lock? when i say auto lock i mean when i start the car and the door will lock by itself. and when i put it in park it will unlock the doors itself. if it does have it how do i program it?

 

There's a little publication in the glove box that'll shed much light on this question And to answer your question, your TL will do what you ask ... mine's set to lock at 10mph; unlocks when put in park

yes. it is in the manual. it is what i have mine set to. as soon as i move out of park the doors lock and when i put back into park they unlock.

 

take a peek at the manual. if you do not have a copy of it, a copy of every honda and acura manual is listed in the 3G garage from 1990 on.

 

thxs for thr responce but i dont have the manual. it wasent in the car when i bought it but the use car guy is trying to get me one but hes hella laggin. but thxs csmeance i will go check out the garage and see what it says

 

mine locks when i move it out of Park, and it unlocks only my door when i turn the car off (or put it in Park, i cant remember). great feature btw.

Like the other posters noted, the auto lock/unlock can be set to occur at several points; it's done through the MID (odometer) display.

 

I have mine set at unlock in park and locking at 10mph. Seems to work well, especially if you are in reverse and waiting for someone to get into the car.

 

Mine locks at 10 mph, but the doors only unlock when the car is turned off...must be due to 6MT...

 

I have mine set so that they don't locok unless I lock them. Also all my doors open with just one push on the key fob. I believe that it is key fob specific, if I use the other fob "driver 2" it locks when the car gets to 10 mph and the unlock button must be pushed twice. I also believe that the radio presets are are fob specific. On a trip this year wife started the car with the other fob and all the radio presets were lost until I restarted the car with the my fob.
