My buddy with a 94 Audi V8 has thrown down the Gauntlet. looks as if we will be meeting friday Dec 9th. 10 miles top speed to the end.
Does anyone have any tips??
The highway is strait and few hills.

I got an audi a4 worked at the track. My time was 14.528 and he was 14.93. His exhaust sounded almost like a jet engine when I saw the video on my girls cell phone.

 

what year is your TL and do you have any mods? does your friend have any mods and how many miles on both cars?

 

05 tl auto aem cai, comptech exhaust and ur pulley 9000 miles, his not sure but sounded mean

 

I owned Jesal's A4 on the highway.

V8, must be the 4.2L. 276 hp, 295 tq. It's got some power, but it's also heavy. What kind of a car do you have? The Audi tops out at 130 mph governed. If you have a 2G TL, then you'll top out at 147 mph governed, and with a 3G, you'll probably top out at 150ish aerodynamically limited.

So... given these bits of information, it's kind of stupid to do a top speed run. You already know who's going to win. Once the Audi tops out at 130, the race is over because there's no pride in beating a car that's governed to that speed.

I'd go with the A8 winning unless he's done some mods like the Type II headswap (like what Cornflake and I have done) and a CAI which gives an honest 40 hp boost.

 

The V8 has a performance chip and exhaust.
Ive got nothing but a yellow CEL.....

owned big time. he will destroy you! I wouldn't race unless he is a good friend, otherwise it will be embarassing. BTW I am surprised a 94 audi is still on the road. audi's have awful reliability.

The C block engines dont benefit greatly from headers unless a lot of other mods are done first.
