Is a front end alignment necessary if...

Could someone here tell me if a front end alignment is necessary if the subframe is removed?

My car is at the dealer for a tranny replacement. They told me last night that the car would be ready since the subframe of the car hasn't been put back yet.

I was told that when removing and replacing the subframe, a front end alignment is necessary just in case it shifted.

Is this true? Is this something I can ask the dealer about?

I think they are kinda fed up with me with all the fixing of stuff even though it's their job...

well, even if its necessary, they did the work, they moved it. so they should do an alignment.

right?

anyways, why are you replacing a tranny on a 3rd gen?

My whole story is here.

https://acurazine.com/forums/automotive-news-6/chevy-gears-up-new-revolution-124895/

Had a very long and hard time with this.

I just got a call from my dealer and was told that the car was ready.

I also asked about the alignment and they said that it was done. Thanks for the reply!

Hopefully the car is not having the sound issue anymore.

Wish me luck.

yes - any front end work makes it prudent to have an alignment.
