Atf z-1

what up y'all just wanted to let everyone knowI found atf z-1 at Car-quest yesterday. Went there to pick up brakes for my friends Grand Prix and low and behold they had it on their shelves. I was out done so I purchased six quarts and told the guy I would be back Monday for his remaining six he had in stock, he told me they have been stocking it for a year or so. At 5 a quart this is a bargain check em out if you can.

That's a decent price for Z1.. a lot of service shops mark it up to $10 / qt.

I was going to change my fluid on my own, but at $50 for 9 quarts which is whats needed to do the factory recommended 3x3 Drain/Refill method, I think the $75 the dealer is charging is reasonable for the about of labor Id have to do!

Try looking for a West Coast dealer to lighten the shipping. Bernardi is East Coast.

Make sure they are doing a 3x3 for that price. Most of the time when a dealer quotes a price for a trans fluid change they are only taking about a 1 time drain and refill, not the 3x3.

Since the 3x3 method is NOT the regular scheduled service method- only a basic 3qt drain/refill is called for by the book, then acura dealers are not doing 3x3 for $90, its not happening~

I had a friend have it done there too. They drain/refill then keep the vehicle on the lift and run it through all the gears, then drain/refill fluid 2 more times

All for $75? I highly doubt it given the 9qts from the same dealer alone will be $90.
