Aspire fog lights on '04 TL

I'm new to this site, but I've been browsing and found out that you can fit aspire fog lights on the front grill. Does anyone have a DIY? Or anyone around Orange County who can help me take it apart and help me install?

*inspire fog lights*

and its just like installing the 04-06 accord sedan fog lights.
there will be measuring, test fitting, and cutting involved.

^This is correct. There is significant cutting involved. You will also have to relocate your horn. When its all done, you will have this:

Note that I replaced my grilles with mesh. It was easier than cutting the OEM grilles to fit.

Thanks for the replies, I'm considering this mod. I just ordered a pair of clear tail lights from eBay, and I was wondering if I should black out my grill too?

I can imagine it's easier than installing accord fogs as inspire fogs doesnt really seem like it has a fog housing.

It seems like inspire fogs require more cutting of the bumper. Accord fogs you need to cut the fog housing AND the bumper which is probably a lot harder.

dwb99 I like the lip and the fog lights and the mesh grills, adds a nice and sleek look to it.

KungFuWaffle: With the added surface area, the lights themselves are bright as hell. I run 35W HIDs @ 5000K. The shape of them keeps more of the light focused, but they are still not projectors so some light still sprays all over the place, kinda like Terpnation does on his pillows every night! (Only it doesn't smell bad the next morning)

From reading the DIY for accord fogs these were much easier to install! Much less cutting I think total I spent 6 hours an hour cutting and 5 hours trying to figure out how to use accord fog light instructions with these

From far away it looks own but when you go up close you can see how it's not perfect!

Because it's his car and he can do what he wants.

Since you CLEARLY have the best taste here on Acurazine, why don't you post a picture of your car? Or are you still trying to figure out which fog light bulbs match your HIDs?

Also, check the DIY by user "mmade22" in the 3G Garage.

jonmizu---good job, man! It looks great! I think these fogs are the most appropriate for our cars. They really seem to follow the lines better.

The CF on your lower lip looks great. Did you to separate the lower portion from the main lip to apply that? Or did you just carefully cut it?

I just received them from ebay. I tried attaching them to the lower grill..its harder than i thought. Im still unsure as to how exactly I should secure them properly to the lower grill.

The wiring is easy though.

Haha, you guys are funny. Glad to see nothings changed much on AZine.

I also did the Inspires and the first time around it just wasn't right. It wasn't aligned perfect and kept shifting around, didn't seem stable with just zip-ties. Few months later I took it all apart again and spent nearly 6hrs on it to get it PERFECT. It did take quite a lot of creative cutting on the back of the housing and cutting the grilles perfectly and I literally bolted them into the bumper. Now from the outside it looks like a totally stock job and it's solid. But it does take work to get it right. Anyone who tells you it ONLY takes an hour and is easy etc. is lying. lol.

You are completely right. I spent literally the whole night trying to align them...problem is they are very hard to secure tightly..

I have mine aligned perfectly with no gaps on the side. I used small screws to hold the lights in the fog grill housing.
