Aspec Kit, will it fit...

....inside my car?

Hey guys, my kit came in & I want to pick up today, I can wait until tomorrow & pick it up in my girls's dad's pick up, but I want it today.

Will the 3 boxes fit inside my car if I put the passenger seat down?

I'm guessing the boxes are long, but how fat or wide will the boxes be?

Please help, my lunch breaks coming up & I can pick it up then....

Gracias!

Just take the pieces out of the boxes. They're really light and won't mess up your interior. The rear is the largest piece, I just reclined the passenger seat and draped it over.

Let me know if you have any questions... I did mine myself and would be glad to share my experience.

Hey Thanks, Pete.
I picked up the kit & there was no way I was gonna fit those boxes in the car anyway, I'm installing it tomorrow, I was reading the instructions & it looks pretty easy, I didn't really look @ the kit since I was in a rush, but I'm guessing the self adhesive tape is already on the inside of the front & rear spoiler right?

Thanks again...

Hey Steve, no problem...
I'll post pics tomorrow of the install.
So you from Rhode Island?
What part man?
I grew up in RI, I moved down to Miami 3 years ago, but all my family is still there.

If you're a little bit handy then the kit is no problem to install. Do a search there's some really good info on the details. Definitely use the trick where you tape the orange backing to the front of the spoiler that's shown in the instructions. Also be sure to wipe the areas where the tape sticks with alcohol... you only get one chance to stick it on.

my a-spec kit is actually coming in this coming monday. I was wondering if rubbing alcohol would clean off the wax from the bumper prior to application of the tape. wouldn't not stick as well if you stuck the tape on wax?

id first use detailers clay to remove everything, then use alchaol to remove the oils that are remaining from touching the surface. Also someone mentioned using 3M automotive grade doublesided stick tape for a better fit and less gaps.

There's also a little trick with the tape for the Aspec bumpers. I didn't install my kit. They guy who did taped (using the blue paint tape) the end of the double sided tape to the outside of the bumper. Once he got the bumper in place then he removed the blue tape and it pulled the back off of the double sided tape and he pushed it down.

This way you don't have to take all of the double sided tape off before you try and put the bumper and front lip on the car.
