interesting concept. i wouild constantly be worried about leaks though. among other things, ie. the valve being damaged. will the smaller circumference of the tube not allow sludge(hope there sint any) or other things to come out.

how much is the product?

i guess this thing would be awesome if you accidentally put too much oil and wanted to drain a little bit out

Nope.. not me. I go with what I know works when it comes to the sanctity of my car and especially its engine. Your drainplug works just fine.

The pliug looks like it sticks up about an inch, and if doesnt get the crap on the lower inch of the oil pan then its worthless to me. When draining the oil you want to get every last drop. I would definatly put this on an older car that I did all my own work on, but on a new TL, Nope, I'd do it the old fashioned way.

I've used one on my Civic and took it off the first time I had to drain the oil. I'TS CRAP! It took forever to drain the oil, and even after about an hour of draining, I decided to take the plug out and there was alot of oil left in the pan.

When I had my S2000 I used a Fumoto valve.http://www.fumotovalve.com This valve was easy to use and becuase I had an X-brace installed on my car (that would always get covered with oil) I was able to connect a piece of tubing to the valve so I could clear the brace.

Use both Sure Drain and Fumonto on other cars. Both are fine. Need to have coffee while the oil is draining but I can always find plenty to do and you can always give the care a look in other areas while draining the oil. Nevertheless, I do not how it fits on TL.

I've used them on my wifes past two cars with no issues. She's driven each car up to 100k miles then we've dumped it. I've never had a leak, and it makes oil draining easier, but I will say the oil comes out much slower. I usually set my pan up, open the thing up, and go back in the house while it slowly drains out.
