Anyone tried this?
I have a Type S. I prefer the 07 base A Spec lip over the Type S lip. My front bumper is pretty beat up from various impacts. Anyways I am looking to get my bumper redone and install the A Spec lip. But I was wondering if I could buy a base bumper and transplant the upper and lower grilles and install the Base A Spec lip? Then I wouldn't have to modify the base lip to fit the Type S bumper. I would imagine that the base bumper would just bolt right into the Type S? Thoughts?

Isn't there minimal to no work needed to fit the base lip over the type s bumper?

Hey everyone,
I have a bumper swapping question too and thought I'd piggyback on this thread. I have an 05 TL which I just got an 07 type-s bumper for. But the problem is I'm having some fitment issues with the bumper; everywhere I searched here people said it should be a direct fit no problem. Anyways the fitment issues is around the headlights, the new bumper is sunken in on the sides and sticking out on the front. Shouldn't it be flush like my original bumper? Anyways maybe it was installed wrong, I'll try taking it off and putting it back on.
Also in the middle fitting the 04-06 aspec for the type-s bumper, the fog light cuts are done but I didn't know the lip needed to be molded because it's about half an inch too short from mounting properly.

You need to give it a firm push around the headlights until it snaps into place and looks flush.
My bet is that you didn't push the bumper into the headlight bracket all the way.
