According to a post in this forum titled "P0420?? Need help." by sqranks in 2011 the TL type S converter is the exact same part.

If you replaced your RL converter (18290-RJA-A00) with the TL type S converter(18290-RYE-A00), I'd appreciate hearing whether the P0420 code came back?

Thanks for your help. I plan to buy one or the other, and since the TL one is a couple hundred dollars cheaper, it pays to check it out.

 

You should have no issue. The V6 Accord is the same figment too, but it doesn't flow as well.
