Anyone in S.Florida looking for a CBP Type S 6MT

They have one at Acura of Pembroke Pines. I test drove it today...they have it listed on their website as "automatic" but I assure you it's 6 speed.

Care is in very good condition...front headlights have some chipping, almost as if in a fender bender that pushed the front bumper up into them...the right part of the front bumper was a little off, but only because I'm anal did I notice that. The mats are dirty and gross, there is wear on the driver side lumbar from getting in/out. The trunk was filthy and it was missing the DVD for the Navi.

All in all, it had a new clutch (svc. advisor friend of mine told me.) which I found odd but drove very nicely. Had a hard time starting, I'm sure from sitting there and the belt was noise at first till it warmed up, probably same issue. Great car, body had no dings that I saw. Exhause tips in great shape and had the OEM Michelins on it with plenty of tread.

Deal with a guy named Carlos. Tell him Jeremy sent you...very nice NOT pushy salesman. Can't say the same for his finance manager. Prick...tried to convince me that my 04 Aspec in immaculate condition was an upside down piece of shit that he would do me the favor of lowballing me for.

Eff that...in the end, I couldn't justify almost doubling my payment for basically the same car and more bells and whistles. I felt the power of the 3.5 but it didn't blow my socks off in comparison to my 6 speed 3.2. The Navi/Reverse camera/two tone seats were great. But I would have to throw another few grand at it to get it to where my current NBP is now so I walked.

They are asking $26999 but would more than likely be willing to drop it to $25500 and it has a bit over 41K miles. He will be there from 10am to 2pm tomorrow and he already told me Thanksgiving is a BAD day for sales. These people did NOT want to let me walk out of there today. But I told them even if I paid 20 bucks more a month than I'm paying now, it wouldn't be financially smart to me because I have a great car. I left loving my car even more.

Thought I'd share because I KNOW this color combo/type s and tranny are hard to come by.

Good luck and cheers. Keep me updated whoever DOES end up getting this car.

Take care and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
J.

I gotta agree with you man, I recently drove an 08 WDP TL - TYPE S and I must say the 28 extra hp isn't THAT noticeable.

If you look at the Carfax report it was involved in an accident 3/2007, right front, with less than 2,000 miles on the clock, and if you also look at the service records, someone was really paranoid about maintenance as the oil and filter was changed 12 times in the 41000 miles.

That is exactly what I was thinking. It seems to have been run pretty hard and not maintained that well. I Got an 07 TL-S auto with slightly higher mileage in mint condition for 24K otd. This one sounds a little high to me.

To me, the things I listed above are minor things that are wrong with the car. Things that are fixable...vaccum the spare carpet, transfer my all season mats...have them replace the driver seat and get the front end looked at closer. If your heart was set on a Type S in this configuration and color, the things I mentioned are minor.

I was posting this in case anyone was looking for something like this. And I posted my overly analytical observations so the person would know ahead of time the flaws. Overall...the engine, interior and drive of the car was in very good condition. Use the 2007 fender bender to get another couple grand off the car!

And yes, I DEF. stand by my interpretation of the power of the Type S. It was nice but not enough to make me want to upgrade.

PS...I wrote that at 2am. So I can see how it came across as a little bit of an oxymoron.

MODs...if you can make clear that I'm personally not trying to sell this car in my title. Was just trying to pass the info around in case anyone wanted the car.

A clutch being changed at 41k is a red flag to me (not to mention a frontal accident)....

Looks like it was beat on. Worn seat and shifter. Replaced clutch dirty mats, high mileage and high price. Steer clear.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing fellas. Now that I reread what I wrote originally and have now confirmed the accident that I was pretty sure I spotted. This car ain't so hot. Unless they drop the price to under 20...then I'd still consider it.

Clutch failure at low miles = Beat on badly! No way would I buy this....Good find but the facts are adding up to a rough life for this car so far.
