Anyone looking for an A-SPEC emblem

I found 2 people selling an A-SPEC emblem.

This guy wants $150.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Acura-TL-RSX-A-spec-A-Emblem-Badge-Brand-New-Genuine-Honda-/111156159727?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19e16c64ef&vxp=mtr#ht_197wt_1006

This one is more reasonable priced.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Acura-A-SPEC-Emblem-/121179320954?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c36d9b27a&vxp=mtr#ht_45wt_1006

Good luck

A-Spec badges are like Charizard 1st edition cards.

It doesn't look like there's any reserve on that second EBay auction.

I just gave up trying to get these for less than a 100. I tapped out this week and bit the bullet for 100 + 16 shipping. But hey I wanted it that bad.

Funny. Came with the car...take them off. Car came without them...spend $100 putting them on.

Grass. Is. Always. Greener.

The other day I saw a Canadian 2G TL-S aspec at the grocery store, I contemplated offering the owner $20 for the badge but they were gone by the time I got back to the parking lot.

Wow, that's quite a bit for a badge. I'm sure a shop could make one for less than the ebay option

No....$67 for a badge. No one around likes badges anyway-let alone a $67 one.

I think I paid somewhere around $30 or so back in 2006. I saw one go for like $10 on the BM once so I kept looking for another one. On one of the threads someone just gave his emblem away for free. I just got tired of waiting and bought a new one on impulse. I felt a bit ripped off but whatever, I got what I wanted. I remember back then it seemed like nobody even wanted them and they were in stock at the dealer and online. People were more into debadging the car and couldn't figure out why I was doing the opposite. I bought a 2nd one for the car too for the front grille. Well it's no mystery why this emblem is necessary for me. My vanity plate even reads "A-Spec".

I never thought I'd see the day I'd realize that this silly badge was actually a good investment. Only problem is that it is now another added annoying attraction I have to be vigilant about. No telling where someone might try ripping one off my car. No doubt at all I will pull their teeth out if I see that happen.

But if I was looking for one in 2014, I definitely would not put down more than $50 for one, that is just plain crazy. I would simply get one made that looks exactly OEM out of brushed aluminum vinyl. Sure there would be no 3D effect but close enough.

The only people I've ever encountered that even know what A-Spec means are from AZine. Everyone else asks me "What does your license plate stand for?"

couple weeks ago I saw a junkyard on craigslist parting out everything from a crashed aspec TL. had aspec rims too, but the whole car was smashed like crazy. On one pic I saw that he had the aspec emblem on the trunk edge. I immediately texted the guy asking if he will sell me the badge. No response, which I expected since he probably thought it wasnt worth his time. I then texted him "I'll give you $20 for it I can come right now" then he responded and I met up with him. Got my aspec badge for $20 LOL. I'm sure he had no idea what this thing is worth to TL owners.

Is it the rarity of the emblem that makes them so desirable?

Not as good looking as the 3G, but perhaps an option for those interested.

^^Not bad at all. It takes getting used to because it is different. But as noted, the most interesting thing is that the font actually matches the car better. If only the "A" would have been the same height of the rest of the letters, it would have looked better.

I see quite a few A-Spec model 2G TL's around here with the A-Spec badge on them. Canadian, of course. I personally like to keep my trunk clean of any badges but I think it'd look dope putting it in the cabin maybe above the glove box. Safer from thieves that way too

Someone did CNC their own emblem. Came out just very convincing, probably the best copy I ever saw. Search the threads it's up here somewhere. I doubt he's going to go through the trouble to make more though.

Man this is a great find. If you change you mind and are willing to sell it instead let me know. Wish I could have gotten it for $20, but I am willing to pay what it is worth.

If anyone has an emblem for sale please PM me.

around there, doesnt mean that low lives wont come and try something stupid. i grew up in 2 neighborhoods notorious for car crooks. people will do a something strange for a lil bit of change and popping a emblem off takes 2 seconds.. SMH i dont worry about where i live, (yard and a Big ass Dog) More like when i occasionally park in the street at a restaurant or outing..
