Anyone know when or if the 3rd gen tl will have an "s-type" type model?

besides the A-SPEC package sold at the dealers...

I've seen the real A-SPEC at car shows and on the net and it looks HOT...want to know if I should wait longer to get a new TL

Theres gonna be a coupe model? i thought they were done making coupes out of the "higher" up models after the CL...

im not too sure...but there are rumors/talks from people on this forum about a new coupe TL (possibly called the CL again...)

had mixed feelings about the old cl...but i think the new tl would make a HOT coupe...

There is no definitive rumor or fact regarding either a coupe TL or "Type-S". This has been discussed many times with no resolution other than that Acura tends to make these changes in the 2nd or 3rd year of a particular model.

only askin cuz i joined this boad when i had a benz (hence the name) and looking for a new car...ended up with a 2003 acura tl-s and kind of pissed cuz i didnt wait for the 04 tl...

This is just my opinion - but I think they are going to have a hard time adding any more horsepower until they go to all wheel drive. Then they are going to have to add enough to offset the extra weight and drag just to stay even. They new RL may pave the way for this, though.

my thoughts exactly, need to be awd or rwd...n they def. wont go rwd...i saw at the 2004 nyauto show that the new rl will have awd and some special "stability" program...true?

yea when i was shopping for mine i was checkin out the g35 coupe, blew the cl-s away...then my acura sales guy said they were going to stop making the cl...and i thought so they are just leaving that 2 door luxury sport coupe market open for infinity and bmw??? no way

they still make the legend. it's called the RL in the states.

in some ways, I can see where you are comming from... i love my mom's z. I bet her car was definatly an eye catcher when it first came out.
