Anyone know the MSRP of the EL42s?

My girlfriend got a nail near the sidewall of the right rear wheel. She took the car to a tire shop and rightfully they claimed that they would be unable to patch it. As a result, they told her that she needed to prepay and order a new tire. get this at a price of 276.99 for the tire alone, and they are claiming it is non-refunable and the like....

what is the best course of action? I want to say the tire must have a MSRP of around $250. I figure that I can call the tire shop in the morning and ask them to cancel the order, if they refuse then I can contact the local area BBB as well as their corporate HQs. In addition, I figure that I might have to turn the charge over to Visa and let them deal with.

I see they sell the tire for $165, but I'm looking for the MSRP, so that I can combat back with that...

I, basically, know that they are trying to take advantage of her as she was pretty distraught bringing the car in....

I'm just trying to collect as much information, as possible before I call and let them have a piece of my mind in the morning......

Bridgestone LIST price is 276.99 and ironically the LS-Z ( a far better tire) is $274.99. Check at any Firestone store. It also showed the list price on my invoice when Bridgestone swapped out the El42 for LS-Z.
