I would go to THE TINT SHOP in great neck/rosyln NY if you want the best tint job you have ever seen. In and out in 1 hour $ 225 . I brought my own moleskin too, otherwise they will install some or you for $ 25. Absolute perfect tint job on my 04tl. Speak to JOE

Did they do well on your rear quarter windows? What tint film are you using? Thanks.

They fit the quarter windows like a glove from edge to edge. I forget the name of the tint they used but I know It was non metallic with a lifetime warranty. They only use 1 brand which is the best. It is not formula one pinncale. I think maybe Madico? Not sungard either. Also, I recommend having the rubber wiper strips removed and covered with moleskin before the tint and then after 3 days, install them back. That way the tinters can get all the way down inside the door glass as much as possible. That is what I did. He also knew all about installing moleskin on the car when most tinters do not. He does mercedes that have the same problem as well as well as Maybachs

Me, my family, and everyone at my dad's office has been using Car Tunes in Farmingdale for a long time. The tints came back perfect. Since then they have gotten a few scratches but I'm not concerned because there is a lifetime guarantee.

They may be OK but personally I would go to a tint specialist that only does tint if you want the best result. They have untrained kids working at these mass retail places who mess things up and if you want a nightmare, then go to a place like parkway car stereo. My 2 cents

i used a guy in brooklyn. under $200 and a great job. he takes off all the moldings from every window and its tinted from end to end on all 7 windows. and if u want molskin he has that too. and BTW he is the guy all the high end dealers use for their cars in L.I. the only reason i beleive him on that is b/c he had a Lambo diablo sitting in his garage when i was there. PM me if you want his #.

Dude, isn't Parkway Car Stereo a chain also?

I used some place out in St. James that was recommended from someone here and they did a great job with one problem, the moleskin got tangled in the door and the sticky residue was all over the window. I brought it back and they fixed it right away (re-tinted the entire window)

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. If anyone wants the info I can get it, I just don't remember it right now.

I got my TL done last year at the Tint Shop and I was happy at the time, but thinking back on it now, not ecstatic. They left cut up pieces of scrap tint on the outside and inside of my car, I still have bubbles to this day which I have yet had time to go get fixed and they did not do the back quarter windows as full as I would have liked. Maybe I was the first TL to go to them. I am going to head over there one of these days to get it re-done.

Got mine done at The Tint Shop in St James. Right on 25 just east of Smithtown Acura. I would personnaly necver do any kind of busines with Car Tunes . They burned me about 15 years ago on a stereo. Their attitude sucked and they tried to blow me off. I don't go away easily, though. They eventually made good on it but it was too much trouble to ever go back.

Yes, it is a chain shop which is precisely why I would not go to a place like that. Just read over my post and see that said that if you want problems and a headache, then go there!

Sorry, I thought you recommended Parkway Car Stereo as an alternative to Car Tunes. I misread your post.
