Sup everyone anyone out their know of any kind of plans for the new TL? Like are they coming out with a Type-S model? I really really want to trade in my car to get the TL, but judging by all the feedback its best to wait. Also I don't want to purchse the TL then a new model comes out? Feedback? Thanks

 

nothing major is gonna happen in '05 (no type S, no AWD, etc.). i talked to one of the acura reps at the Dallas auto show and asked him about the problems that i've heard so much about on this forum. he stated that the rattling issues and other bugs (specifically mentioned the seat memory) are already being resolved on the more recent '04 production and that the the '05 won't really be any different. he also said that there won't be any hp increase either (not that anyone really expected too much more on the FWD platform).

 

in that case, why even buy a car? maybe in 2006 there will be a 300hp version. if you wait for the next best thing, you'll be waiting for the next version forever.

 

I'm trying to buy 05 model but if 06 model will come with AWD and more HP I'd be pissed!!

 

trust me... there will always be a better car out there with more new feature...

ask yourself are you happy with this car at this moment ...

Probably, 05TL top model might look like part of this... IMO.

 

Is it just me, but I think that picture is ugly. I never liked the front of the new TL, and without the Acura logo, it looks even uglier. The front end below the grill, and between the air intake vents, looks like a snowplow! It's the only thing that I don't like, and since I just ordered a '04 in anthracite/ebony/6mt, I like it overall. It's just something about that "snowplow" look below the grill that doesn't do much for me. It's just too plain, and would look better if they carried the air intakes together to break up that plain area. Is it me? or does anyone else see that?

 

the a-spec concept is a nice car. it has alot of interesting features but i do agree that the bumper is kinda ugly.

 

Agreed, JetJock, the front end isn't as nice as the std. car to me. It's the aluminum inserts in the lower air inlets that I don't like, especially on the black car. It wouldn't be so noticable on a silver, white, etc.

 

Gotta put a license plate somewhere, I guess.
