anyone heard of Madico tint?
http://www.madico.com/Automotive.htm
They claim they have Charcoal based tint that doesn't interfere with GPS signals. I found a Huper Optik place an hour away, and there is a tint shop that has this Madico tint. Not sure on the fade resistance. Anyone ever heard of this brand? Comments? Experience?

I have Madico tint on my TL. It's supposed to be very high quality. The type I got installed isn't supposed to interfere with the GPS. The tint shop I went to only uses this brand and they are known to do tint jobs for various Hollywood stars. But I think they messed up on my install. When I look through the back window everything is blurry and not clear. Have been too lazy to go back and complain.

I've heard of both Madico and Huper Optik.
My car currently has some sort of 50/50 metallic/dye and it's been screwing with my gps from time to time. Also, I can see little waves in the tint under certain lights, and headlights glare through my rear window.
While all these things are annoying, the last straw is the color. I have a NBP/ebony and the tint is slightly grey. It looks fine from most angles, but sometimes it looks like a black car with grey windows.
So after all that....what colors are the Madico and Huper Optik tints?
(sorry to hijack, but is this question really worth another thread?)

good questions MasterShake, I don't know what Madico looks like installed, except for what might be on their website.. but here is a thread with 2 TLs that have Huper Optik installed.

Hey ctlgo,
My car has Madico (charcoal series) 35%. When i first got my car tinted it had Madico 38% (It was a different series, LT or something) I hatted the 38%, it looked almost greenish in certain light. I took it back and found out the 38% was a metallic tint, thats why it looked kinda greenish. The weird thing is i didn't have any problems with the navi or XM but i only had it on for a day.(if that) I think only the metallic tints have a life time warranty from madico not the charcoal series. This picture is with the 35% (charcoal) series.
If you want, tomorrow i can take more pics with 35% (charcoal)
My other post in the photo forms i believe all have the 38%

thanks for the pic ward... they told me they are gonna put Madico Onyx (which is ceramic based) as suppose to Charcoal (which is charcoal based), on Madico's chart, Onyx is black and Charcoal is grey...
any reason the back is darker than the front?

I guess Onyx is one of their best, he said its a very solid and strong tint. Because when I asked him about moleskin, he said I shouldn't need it. He said that the Onyx tint won't get scratched, if for some reason it does, their work is warrantied and they will replace the tint free of charge. He also mentioned they did some TLs already (don't know if its true or not)
