Anyone ever been pulled over for tail light tint?
I've had the light (85%) tint from Rock Blocker in my possession for the sides and tails, but have hesitated because of:
a) Difficult installation stories
b) ... Illegal status..... ?
Can anyone comment or provide suggestions for #1, and could anyone share if they've been pulled over for tints (saw one story from Canada but that was it)?

i got pulled over once cuz one of my headlights wiring was off. after they pulled me over, they walked around the car, and had me turn on my blinkers. stupid me, in my excitement to get the tint on, i forgot bout getting amber bulbs for the blinkers ( i upgraded my 99 tl to the 02-03 tails). so the cops gave me a written warning for defective headlight, and something bout amber taillight. but nothing at all about the tint. so i think its fine long as you make sure your turn signals are still amber. this was in MA by the way, and i had like 20% tint
Thanks guys... I had forgotten to point out that I live in Miami, too... any Floridians here with tint? And any advice as far as installing? I don't have a hairdryer readily available and I heard it's needed for installation. Is this a big problem?
A lot of us have the tinted tails, people have been pulled over but I haven't seen a post of someone who says they got a ticket. I have been tailed/pulled over by cops many times and they never drew attention.
I'm up in Tallahassee and I haven't been messed with about it. I have the dark (35%) Rockblocker stuff and just got pulled over the other day and he didn't say anything about it (it was TPD).
I think I remember reading somewhere you can tint the tails as long as you can see the brakes from 300 ft under "normal conditions". You can't tint the headlights though. (This is in FLA)
Basically, you just spray the precut tint down with soapy water and put in on the tails. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften and stretch a little to get around the corners.

I have the darkest rockblocker tint on mine and have never been pulled over for it...I had one cop pull me over for my music being to loud and when I told him how he was being a dick and obviously had nothing better to do with his time he responded "well i cut you a break on ur tail lights"...This is down in FL, not a big deal, its a non moving violation and a $75 ticket worst case scenario..If a cop pulls you for that, he is a DICK anyway and u were doomed from the get go...lol
I used to have the darkest tint from rockblocker in Florida and never got even told it was illegal, you should have a problem. And putting it on is easy as fuhhh. Just make sure you smooth everything out and make it look good as possible before it dries/sticks
