Okay, after playing around with the Belkin some more today on the way home I'm not sure if it's as good as I originally thought. Some of my songs are still extremely shrill sounding (No Doubt - It's My Life, for example) and the bass doesn't sound like it should.

For the cassette adapter, have you ever "pushed" the unit in a little further? When I do that, it gets a lot louder but also more distorted. When I pull it back out to its original position it's softer (and you have to turn the volume to about 20 for decent listening instead of just 'background music').

Agh, I'm so torn on what item to decide on. What level do you have the Belkin set to? When the cassette adapter is in its "out" position (as described above) I have to set the Belkin to full volume. When it's pushed further in, I have to lower the Belkin volume to about 3/4th or 4/6th or else it gets WAY distorted.

Any other tips?

I am not sure about the in out thing on the cassette. I actually drive an 03 I35 so we have a different radio. I used to have an 01 TL which I traded, but I still like this group. Anyway, I am not sure what else you can try, but I think my Belkin is set to less than half as far as I can tell. Did you get the Sony cassette? Belkin also makes an FM transmitter I believe.

I haven't found a local store with the Sony CPA-9C that I could try, although I think Circuit City might have one so I might drop by later to try it out. More details to come!

That is where I got mine. The Apple website also has the Sony on the site to buy. I feel that if Apple sells it for the iPod it must be the one they like the most.
