visit the Off Topic area, Wash And Wax threads for DIY help
Heat is your friend- hairdryer sun whatever
There are products you spray on that loosen the glue- mayonaise works!, then you remove the glue off the paint
Its pretty easy. Dont try to melt the big A symbol off- its attached with bolts!

I usually let the goo gun sip in, let it stay there for an hour or so, it dissolves the glue, and then gently use the floss. Heat always helps but you can do without it.

Don't rush or pry anything off... Also when using the floss, the strand needs to be in between the 3m material and the trunk itself, some take off the emblems, leaving the 3m tape on the trunk.

You will still have to buff and wax the trunk area for the finished look.

I always take the badges off with the 3M tapes still on them, so I can rebadge them later in the future.

I took mine to the body shop next to the dealer, they did it for free. It took them about 10 minutes.

I took mine to the driveway. Used nylon thread and goo gone. Didn't cost a thing. Took about 10 minutes.

Then I had a beer.

Beer >>> Body Shop.

I peeled them off- the car was brand new so they didnt have along time to set. Then used my fingers as much as possible to peel off the remaining adhesive. Then I soaked the glueish stuff with Goo Gone for about 15-20 minutes- then used a hardish plastic squeege to "scrape" the rest off.... then polished the paint- then waxed.... No scratches.
