Unhappy Any speeding tickets in your new TL?

I saw a silver TL pulled by CHP over at Valencia on my way back from LA today. The TL looked good, but not so good with CHP's light flashing on it. This reminds me to slow down also as I too tend to let the car drift to higher speed. My NBP maybe a cop magnet.

So, did anyone else get a ticket and what's your story? How fast and how much?

I hope this thread is short.

85 in a 70. Cost $30 fine and $75 Court cost. It was a must appear and infront of the judge he asked what kind of car I had and I told him, as he continued writting what ever he was doing, I saw a small grin come out of the corner of his mouth. Then he told me to pay the clerk. He was sending others that were 15 over to defensive driving school....guess since I looked like a executive and not some redneck he cut me a break. Who knows!

Yes

Get this . . . . I'm flying down the road listening to my music just enjoying life (right ) doing about 75 downhill
on some , stuck in the moment type sh!t . As I get to the bottom of the hill and reduce speed , a trucks making a u-turn , and a officer is standing in the middle of the road flagging him down to pull over . Well I thought he was. Then he points directly at me , and I say who me , and he directs me over then tells me to pull to the side so I dont get hit. I'm thinking :ar15: :bigun2: ( why not go out in a blaze of glory - not). He tells me I was doing 75 in 40 . I show my Id and he says "This vehicle was purchased out of state ? " " Yes officer I just got it yesterday ! " Then he looks at me and says " Hows a warning sound ? " Minutes later he comes back and tells me to enjoy my car ! You see even cops like the new TL

I thought the warnings were only issued to crying women. Good out. Still surprised on number of responses with this car. I hope it stays that way.

In December I was responding to an emergency stroke at 6 AM when I passed a cop at 40 mph in a 25 mph zone right next to the freeway as I was about to get on the freeway. I explained my situation and was given a warning.

I was doing 85 in a 55 mph zone, went right past a cop hiding partly behind a bush on the median. My radar detector did not go off. I slowed down after I saw him and just kept going looking straight ahead. The cop never came after me.

Not yet, but I'm still under 600 miles so I'm babying it. I am having an Escort 8500 installed with a laser shifter next week so I will be ready to go.
