I know what you mean, ppl need to post up some good race threads instead of what if's )=

TL's are only powerful if your going agaisnt stock it's sad but true i can't compete with most of my friends because there either all motor or on a 11 second turbo setup so i just play around on the freeway

A couple of years ago while renting a 2000 TL-P I beat someone in his new 02 Alti 3.5SE here in NJ.....I've had mad respect for the J32A since then (although I drive a VQ35DE Maxima )

i'd post them...but they're all disappointing (wins of course)...results of agitations by 4 banger civics with machine gun exhausts, dropped accords with altezzas, and the turbo trucks out here:|

i ran with the new civic hatchback coming down 95, hit 110 and then he smoked me...getting my hopes up haha

there were some 3 series kills, but can't remember them all...its always those jackasses on the freeway who try to cut in front of me and when i get back in front of them they start with the HIDs, and then i just give them bus lengths

i beat a type S with my moms TL-p

the type S had wide 19 inche rims and had a passenger.

He was laughing at me at the stop light cuz i was tailgating his ass like a maniac around a few turns.

Anyways... we raced from stop and we were pretty dead even and i beat him by 1/2 a car length at the top of 3rd gear.

he stopped laughing and never looked at me again.

I have a 2003 type S myself and would never think my moms tl-p can ever beat a type S

I guess he couldn't drive or didn;t redline through the gears like me.

or maybe his wheels and passenger was heavy.

But damn... i felt good beating a cocky ass person

04 maxima(yes I friggin did) 03 accord v6 coupe AT, countless si's, accords, a 98 prelude SH w/intake and exhaust, 03-04 eclipe V6 MT w/catback and intake, many more, but can;t think of them now. I am very good at downsifting at the right time and usually get good launches.

whooped a 98 mustang gt AT from a 20mph roll, by about 1 car length up to 90. He probably would have caught up and passed me had we gone over 100-110mph, but I was pretty proud. When it is cool and dry out my car friggin flies, I think I have a manufactured freak sometimes. I need to dyno my car bad, but want to get the UR crank pulley in first.

We stand no chance against a new Maxima from a standstill, BUT.. from a 40mph roll I was able to overtake a new white one that was trying to prevent me from doing so. It wasn't a quick overtaking, it took some distance and it was more of a creeping by.. but the TL is strong at higher speeds and the Maxima has an assload of take off.

i stand by the truth and I beat an 04 maxima AT from a stop up to 70mph. Not by much, but I beat him. He did spin more than me off the start and pulled ahead quick, he started to inch up, but not quickly.

Off the line traction is the Achilles heal of VQ35DE Maximas and Altimas.
