I picked up some high performance vinyl for my anthracite TL. These are some pictures on the grill and rear bumper to show how it looks. I am also selling this stuff. 15" x 4 feet, enough to do the front grille and other possible areas for $23 shipped. This will eliminate rock chips if you used paint, which do it right is $55 alone for materials shipped and a body shop will probably charge $75-100. Wax this vinyl and it will give it a clear coat finish to almost exactly match the paint.

Just something to give it a "clear coat shine". It looks great as is, but it would look excellent if it had that clear coat effect to look like fresh paint and really match the car.

 

Is the wrapping off the grill a DIY? If so, how difficult is it?

 

There are some DIY on here for grill removal. Its very easy to do.

 

I did a grill on an 06 TSX and 05 TL and it take patience. I done the 05 TL yesterday and it came out great. Use plenty of heat and start from the middle and work your way out when doing the center piece. Great find!

 

Donnie what did you use for your source of heat?

 

I assume heat gun or hair dryer?

 

+1. Heat gun will work faster and the best but a blow dryer will work.

 

I bought a cheap hair dryer from walmart with 3 settings (lo, med, hi). The heat gun is faster but you can burn yourself because the end gets very hot.
